Title Card for Troublemakers

Title Card for Troublemakers.

Troublemakers is an indie multiplayer first-person shooter video game. A hero shooter video game, Troublemakers assigned players into two teams of six, with players selecting a roster of characters with unique abilities. Teams worked to complete map-specific objectives within a limited period of time.

Synopsis[]

100 years before the main event, humanity was threatened with extinction when war between countries caused a global economic crisis. Predicting this, politician and billionaire Noah Ark built a massive artificial island to save humanity which he named Ark. Soon humanity moved to Ark and started a new life there. However, as time went by, the government of Ark became corrupt, where its officials were self-serving and neglected the people, ultimately causing misery for them.

From the misery of the people, enter Troublemakers, individuals who aim to entertain the people by pranking government officials. This proved successful with the people entertained and supporting the Troublemakers. However, the government consider the Troublemakers to be criminals and threats, causing them to begin being hunted down. To hunt down the Troublemakers, the government created The Heroes, a government-funded task force composed of individuals recruited or developed by the government.

Gameplay[]

Like most hero shooter video games, players are designed for squad-based combat with two opposing teams of six players. The two opposing teams are the Troublemakers, characterized with the color purple, and The Heroes, characterized with the color yellow. Players selected one character from a roster that has been created in three class types: Assault, responsible for offensive efforts, Support, responsible for healing and buffing, and Vanguard, responsible for creating space for the team. Each character has a unique skill kit, defining their intrinsic attributes such as health points and running speed, primary attacks, several active and passive skills, and an ultimate ability that can only be used after it has been charged through dealing damage to opponents and healing allies. Players can change their character during the course of a match. The game also features destructible environments, allowing players to alter the battlefield.

Game Modes[]

The game has seven modes:

Escort[]

Teams are randomly assigned to be the Troublemakers or The Heroes. As The Heroes, the goal is to escort a truck or moving object to the end of the map by capturing it. While as Troublemakers, the goal is to stop The Heroes from reaching the end of the map. If The Heroes do not capture the truck or moving object, it starts to move backwards, unless The Heroes start recapturing it.

Domination[]

Both teams attack a single point on a handful of several small maps. Once a point is captured, the defending team will slowly gain points until reaching 100%, on which the round ends. The mode will then move to another small map and repeat the objective. The first team to reach two captured points wins.

Mixture[]

Teams are randomly assigned to be the Troublemakers or The Heroes. As Troublemakers, the objective is to attack the first checkpoint on the map and secure it by standing inside. As The Heroes, the objective is to defend the checkpoint until the match time reaches zero. If the Troublemakers manage to capture a checkpoint in time, the mode shifts into Escort style, where the Troublemakers escort a truck or moving object through the map to reach the next two checkpoints. Reaching the final checkpoint is considered a victory.

Clash[]

Clash has a total of five capture objectives, lettered A through E. Objective C, the center objective, is always activated first. Points are scored by fully capturing any of the objectives, and objectives can be captured multiple times. When a team captures the current objective, they are awarded one point to their total score and a new objective closer to the opponent team's spawn is activated. One team wins if it reaches five points before the other team.

Seize[]

Seize is a game mode in which the Troublemakers must take two capture points, while The Heroes attempts to prevent them until time runs out. When the first point is captured, the timer will increase, and the Troublemakers' spawn location will move. The Heroes' spawn is always located on point B. Overtime will be triggered if the attacking team is still contesting the active point when the timer runs out.

Capture the Briefcase[]

Capture the Briefcase is a game mode in which there is a briefcase on each side of the map. Players must capture the opponent team's briefcase and bring it back to their team's briefcase position, while also preventing the opponent team from capturing their team's briefcase. The team that reaches three points first, or has the most points when the five-minute timer runs out, wins the match.

Destruction[]

Destruction is a mode where six players compete to earn points by creating as much destruction as possible on the map. The player with the most points is the winner.
