Trauma Memories is a game published by Atlus for the Nintendo Switch. A spin-off/sequel to Trauma Team, which is considered a spin-off of the Trauma Center series, it takes place five years after the events of its predecessor & features recurring characters Naomi Kimishima & Christopher Navel, as well as a few new characters.
Like Trauma Team, the events of the game are told in the style of a graphic novel, with character art in the style of anime.
The game features six episodes focusing on five specialists in varying forensics fields: Naomi Kimishima, who works as a crime scene investigator; Christopher Navel, who works as an interrogator; Randolph Akers, a medical examiner; Delfina Miranda, an analyst; & Ansel Ramsay, a data manager. Erhard Muller (CR-S01) also appears later on in the game.
Story[]
The story is set in 2025, five years after the victory over the Rosalia Virus. Naomi Kimishima, having been cured of her genetic disease, now has her own team of forensics experts at the Cumberland Institute of Forensic Medicine. Her team includes Christopher Navel, an old colleague of Naomi's who works for the FBI; Randolph Akers, a medical examiner with a shady-looking background; Delfina Miranda, an analyst who once worked for a drug company; & Ansel Ramsay, a data manager who tends to get distracted.
Characters[]

- Christopher Navel: An old colleague of Naomi's who shares a secretive past with her that they both agreed to never speak of again.

- Delfina Miranda: An analyst who originally worked for a crooked drug company & is seemingly running from her past.
- Ansel Ramsay: A young & somewhat nerdy data manager. Although he does his best to get the job done, he has a tendency to get distracted on the Internet.
- Erhard Muller (CR-S01): A prodigy surgeon, redeemed convict, & returning character from Trauma Team. He temporarily replaces Akers as medical examiner after the latter was almost killed & hospitalized. Naomi strongly trusts Erhard due to him having saved her & Alyssa's life five years prior.
Other[]
- David Wayne - The Chief of the Cumberland Institute of Forensic Medicine.
- Alyssa Breslin: Naomi's adopted teenage daughter.
Gameplay & Features[]
The game uses elements similar to Forensics in Trauma Team, which involves gathering pieces of evidence and making connections between them to put together the truth of what happened. Along the way, the player will be given multiple choice questions pertaining to the case, some of which require memory of otherwise overlooked details. Answering the questions incorrectly will count as a mistake, and up to 10 mistakes can be made before a game over is issued. The player may also refuse to answer to not risk making a mistake and can come back to the question later, though they do not advance until it is answered.
Fields[]
Trauma Memories offers five different forensic fields, each offering its own specific gameplay style:
- Crime Scene Investigation: The player investigates relevant scenes to search for clues as to how the person died. Several tools can be used to aid the process.
- Interrogation: The player listens to a suspect's testimony, either pressing for more information or presenting evidence that contradicts what the suspect said.
- Autopsy: The player investigates either the victim's corpse or personal effects to search for anything suspicious that can pertain to a clue in the investigation.
- Analysis: The player analyzes certain pieces of evidence to discover clues that may be useful to the investigation.
- Data Management: The computer displays a list of clues collected over the course of the investigation. The clues can be reviewed, and sometimes they can be combined with related clues to draw conclusions.
Cracking the Case[]
Once all the clues and sufficient Solid Evidence are acquired, Naomi will make a conclusion on what happened. As she narrates how the victim died, there will be various points where the player has to select a piece of evidence that supports her claim. Using the wrong piece will count as a mistake.
