The Simpsons: Hit & Run HD is a high definition remake update to original The Simpsons: Hit & Run game for 8th - 9th generation consoles (including Switch; both of two PlayStation (4 & 5) and Xbox (One and Series) can be cross-bought respectively) and PC, developed by Radical Entertainment and published by its current parent company, Activision Blizzard.

Maps from 3 levels, along with its variants from 4 others are fully connected to a single map on each levels. Phase 1 based on Level 1 - 3; Phase 2 based on Level 4 - 6; Level 7 updated with a Halloween variant of Level 2 - 3:
- Post-Game level, Level 8 is free, allows players to be able to change characters & costumes anytime
- Snowy variant forecast unlocked in after beating the game
- Tutorial from Level 1, along with Bonus Missions can be restated in post-Game Level, depends on character availability
- Racing circuits can only available on specific characters and forecast
- Some missions on certain levels are updated, such as Homer being chased by Wiggum during a mission retrieving Flanders’ lost items, and Moe’s off screen death being debunked to further confirm his survival of zombie attacks (such as moving to his tavern bar)
- Homer and Bart can now wear alternate costumes from two levels they are in
- Some characters who never ride their respective vehicle will now ride them:
- Barney’s Plow King (Level 2, 4 - 5, 7)
- Bumblebee Man’s El Carro Loco (Level 1 - 3, 5 - 6)
- Moe’s Sedan (Level 1, Level 3 - 6)
- Krusty’s Clown Car (Level 2 - 4, Level 7)
- Comic Book Guy is available as a Kremlin driver on Level 6
- Seymour Skinner is available as his sedan driver on Level 4
- Kearney’s Globex Super Villain Car (all Levels except 2 and 6)
- Homer can now drive Mr. Plow and his Car Built on the Levels he is available as a driver (Level 3 - 4)
- Willy’s Tractor updated with second seat, allowing him to be available as a driver on specific level (Level 1, 4 and 7)
- Seymour Skinner II’s Sedan has Agnes Skinner’s proper model available in the backseat, if players chose to drive his car on
- Chief Wiggum’s driver availability as a Police Car Driver between Level 1 and Level 7 switched, due to an upgraded mission on the former, and latter made him available driver and no longer a minor NPC since Hearse replaced the Police Car
- WWII Vehicle w/ Rocket can be unlocked after beating the game properly
- Collector Cards can be unlocked in all levels
- Hidden Cars usable in all levels
- All usable minor cars from Level 1 - 6 appears in all level except 7
- Springfield Map added as a new feature
- Agnes Skinner appears as a minor pedestrian in Level 1, Level 2 and Level 6
- New Voice Actor for Apu: Karan Soni. Also part of new episode promotion for his official return to the series.
- Cutscenes no longer pre-rendered, now the graphic akin to the original series' cel-shading
- Level 7 variant of Level 1 stage updated on the Rich Side Power Plant section: Rich Side Power Plant location is now Resistance area only consisting:
- Resistance Survivors (Civilians and Soldier)
- Resistance Vehicles: Truck and Car
- Bonus Car from Level 1 destroyed
- Chopper Landing Zones at the Burns Mansion' Gate Area
- Resistance Shelters
- Lower Land to Rich Side destroyed to prevent Undeads & Witches to invade
- Blocked Power Plants Backside Road and Burns Mansion's Gate on Living Chess Area, which can only get through via walking, as the Power Plant is now fill with Undeads & Witches
