WARNING! THIS PAGE IS CONTINUALLY BEING UPDATED! THE IDEA IS NOT FINISHED YET!

The Infinity Project: A Need for Speed Game is an upcoming open-world racing game. It will be released on all Microsoft Windows, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The game may also be released on all Mac and Linux versions, as well as possibly being ported to the Nintendo Switch in the future. It will be released sometime in 2027.

Tip1

Currently the cover (I know, not the right one yet....)

It tells the story of a new protagonist encountering characters from the mobile game Need for Speed: No Limits, who adjusted to the new environment that is known as Elysium County, where they will meet the characters from the PC games, as well as new characters native to Elysium, or outside characters, that set the plot in motion.

Gameplay

General

Day/Night

The game has a day-night cycle. Certain events can only be accessed by either day/night, or both. While the day/night cycle is similar to Heat (more dangerous when night), be still wary of the day. However, unlike Heat, which is "forced", it follows a "natural" D/N cycle similar to other games.

Chronos

A feature that connects the game in real-time D/N. Requires internet connection.

Special Events

Volcanic Eruption

Rarely, the volcano known as Mount Asakura will explode, covering the land with ash and molten rock. Some volcano-exclusive races and volcano-exclusive crews will appear for 30 in-game days before it goes out again. The duration changes when Chronos is activated.

Blizzard

Only exclusive in Jansen Tundras.

Aurora
Lunar Eclipse

In one night of the game, a Lunar Eclipse will rarely occur. Racers, cops, terrorists, and bounty hunters are more than usual, and Lunar Eclipse-specific events will appear.

Solar Eclipse
Thunderstorm
Smog

Only exclusive in Krieger Industrial Park.

Earthquake
Sandstorm

Only exclusive in Hunter Canyons.

Blackout
Wind

In all areas of Elysium, a short time of day will slightly boost your stats when you race an enemy. Roaming racer spawn is increased.

Reputation System

Players unlock certain items, such as cars, parts, allies, and races when they reach certain tiers. They earn reputation levels when participating or winning races(of course, much bigger when winner), and finishing story missions. There is no cap in reputation levels, but increases much longer in higher levels.

Story Gameplay (Normal)

After every chapter, the cars reset to tier 1. All cars chosen by the past chapter will be locked when a certain tier is not reached in the succeeding chapter.

Chapter 1: Rider

Pre-State of Chaos

This is the early game. Only Tier 1 and 2 cars are used here.

State of Chaos

The State of Chaos is a progression flag that triggers when Atomika is defeated. Atomika was once a famous DJ stating the state of Elysium on Crash FM 2.0. Defeating him however earns him at your side and finally introduces you to a State of Chaos, where every crew has gone wild, every cop and racer on a never-ending chase, and terrorists and bounty hunters constantly trying to ruin your day (think Terraria's Hardmode). At the same time, this marks the beginning of Tier 3 cars and above.

Chapter 2: Outlaw

Pre-State of Lawlessness

Chapter 2's equivalent of Pre-State of Chaos. Higher clearance units will show up more frequently, and you start at heat level 2 immediately instead of heat 0.

State of Lawlessness

Chapter 2's equivalent of State of Chaos. Higher clearance units will show up even more frequently, and you start at heat level 5 immediately instead of heat 0.

Chapter 3: Nemesis

Pre-State of Absolute Vengeance (current working name)

Chapter 3's equivalent of Pre-State of Chaos.

State of Absolute Vengeance (current working name)

Chapter 3's equivalent of State of Chaos.

Chapter 4: Specter

Pre-Terminus

Chapter 4's equivalent of Pre-State of Chaos.

Terminus

Chapter 4's equivalent of State of Chaos and the true endgame.

Characters

While there are characters in the game that take after every NFS game, this game is specifically set as a direct sequel to the mobile phone game NFS No Limits, where their characters will be given more importance here.

Another disclaimer, some of the No Limits' characters' names are actually modified and are simply the headcanon of the OP, such as Brian Lee or Garfield "Garry" Kozlowski.

Playable Characters

Former Players

All of these players are Balanced-class.

  • The new Player - The player is the main protagonist of the game. He/She starts the game with a BMW M5 F80(modified like in No Limits), but with the iconic M3 vinyl. But he loses this after the tutorial series of missions and can choose between three different starter cars.
  • Tommy 'Flash' Spidowsky- He is the protagonist of the Second Era of the games(probably except Undercover). He drives the famed M3 GTR, after he recovered the car somewhere in Fairhaven.
  • 'Phantom' - He is the protagonist of the smartphone game NFS No Limits. He drives the M4 Coupe with the M3's vinyl after he acquired it in a deal with the cops. He is the renowned hero of the event known as the Organizer Wars.
  • 'Ghost' - He is the protagonist of NFS 2015. He drives the BMW M3 E30 with the same vinyl.
  • 'Arrow' - Only playable when a Heat save file is detected. It takes the appearance of your character in Heat.
  • Ryan Cooper 'Street King'- He is the protagonist of NFS ProStreet(and probably NFS Shift). He drives a Nissan 240 SX.

Other Players

  • Jack Rourke 'Survivor'- He is the protagonist of NFS The Run. He drives a Ford Mustang Boss 302 RTR-X. He is a Bruiser-class player.
  • Tyler Morgan 'Avenger'- He is one of the three protagonists in NFS Payback. He drives his Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. He is a Scout-class player.
  • Sean McAlister 'Jumper'- He is one of the three protagonists in NFS Payback. He drives his Chevrolet Bel-Air. He is a Rallyist-class player.
  • Jessica Miller 'Bandit'- She is one of the three protagonists in NFS Payback. She drives her BMW M5 F80. She is an Evader-class player.
  • Tobey Marshall "Kisco" - He is the protagonist of the NFS Movie. He drives a 2013 Shelby GT500, which was recreated by folks in Elysium. He is an Engineer-class player.

  • Garfield "Garry" Kozlowski - A veteran of the Organizer Wars and the former coup leader of Blackridge's Underworld. He was snapped back to the racing kid he was before the Underworld.
  • Marcus King - A former businessman that formerly corrupted cops to do his bidding. Now works for Kim after the Organizer Wars.
  • Samantha Madison - A freelancer who used to be a member of the Underworld with Garry. Is the sister of the new chief of the ECPD, Ashley Madison-Rivera. She still drives a Jaguar C-X75.
  • Kimberly Chang - A rich lady who used to be a former car shop owner in NFS No Limits. Marcus King now works for her while Darius(NL) came back.
  • Blake Neill - A big man with a passion for destroying plans the police has.
  • Ivy - She set up a new shop in Elysium. Defeating her as a bonus boss will allow you to unlock shops for rare parts and visuals for your cars.

New Supporting Characters

  • Jacques, the Annoying Kid - A random encounter that appears rarely when the State of Chaos is triggered. He will only drive a modified Pagani Zonda R.

Antagonists

  • Nemesis - Named Katherine Williams, she was a former undercover police officer in Blackridge who became a vigilante after the Organizer Wars. In her crusade of destroying all who threatened her view of Elysium, she sought the power of the Chronosphere, a device capable of slowing time, to rule the city. One of the major antagonists of the game's story, and a recurring character. She drives a highly modified Aston Martin Vulcan, matched to Asphalt 8's OP stats. She appears in a pursuit/terror pursuit if both Heat and Mark are 10 at a minimum, and she can attack all, pursuers and player.
  • F-8 - One of the major antagonists of the game's story, and a recurring character. Leader of a terrorist group known as the Shadows of Destiny. Since he was removed from the police force in the Rivals timeline, he became the worst enemy of racers and cops alike. He now wants to make a reign of terror in Elysium County. He bought lots of advanced technology to make his terrorist crew more powerful. He is also Nemesis's other enemy. He now drives a Ferrari FXX-K Evo.
  • Zephyr - An anarchist who survived a couple of car crashes in Rivals. He is also the leader of the Blood Pact, a crew that includes former criminals. He wants to end the law enforcement to give racers their freedom. Still has a great enmity with F-8, and teams up with the Nemesis. He now drives a McLaren Speedtail.
  • Amber Montane - The leader of the bounty hunter group known as the Titans. She often appears as a side-boss. She drives a Nissan GT-R Premium 2017.
  • Hayden Montane and Aidan Montane - The twins who are the older brothers of Amber and the younger brothers of Bridget. The second-in-command twins of Amber in the Titans. They both drive a Shelby GT500 2020.

The Blood Pact

Unlocked after the State of Chaos, the Blood Pact is a multi-tier crew that seeks to take advantage of Elysium's chaos and become its rulers. They do not know the dangers that lie ahead, though....

  • Zephyr - Its leader.
  • Clarence Callahan
  • Darius
  • Eddie
  • Caleb
  • Lina Navarro

Law Enforcement

  • Ashley Madison-Rivera "The Midnight Talon"- The new chief of the ECPD after Detective Wolf dies at the end of the tutorial series of missions. She is the sister of Samantha Madison and a friend of many other agents, most notably Jonathan Cross, her former friendly rival when she was working in Rockport. In this timeline, she is also the missing mother of Ana and Lucas, She is often referred to her married surname, Rivera, in No Limits. Despite having four distinct cars depending on heat level, her usual car in many cutscenes is a midnight blue McLaren Senna with only LED lights that turn on and off, and such car can be used in "Undercover" missions.
  • Detective Wolf - The mentor of Ashley and the old chief of ECPD before his death at the hands of the Shadows of Destiny when they assaulted a station where the new Player is detained, where the Player escapes. He used to drive a red McLaren P1 with police livery.
  • Armstrong - The last loyal Blackridge immigrant cop to the law, albeit being rather overkill with his methods, Now in Elysium County, he commands the fleet of SUVs and SWAT Trucks. He now drives a heavily modified Ford F-150 SVT Raptor with automated weapons at the back.

Top Agents

Agents called in to secure the city of illegal street racers and other crimes. They are often called their codenames, similar to the Blacklist in Most Wanted 2005. All of their codenames are based on aircraft.
