Gameplay[]

Superhumans X WOF is a 2.5D tag-team fighting game where players select teams of one, two, or three characters from the Superhumans and World of Fighting rosters. Battles take place on a 2D plane with fully 3D-rendered environments and characters, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 to feature dynamic stage interactions and cinematic effects.

The core objective is to deplete the opposing team’s health bars by chaining attacks, combos, and special abilities. Matches can be structured as single, duo, or trio fights, with tag mechanics allowing players to switch characters mid-battle. Multi-character teams can perform assist attacks, counter assists, and team-based super moves known as Hyper Finishers, which are cinematic attacks capable of turning the tide of battle.

Each character features a light, medium, and heavy attack system, along with unique special moves, throws, and aerial maneuvers. A Super Gauge builds during combat that can be spent on EX abilities, combo breakers, and ultimate moves. The game emphasizes high-speed combat and strategic tag usage, with mechanics such as Guard Crush, Air Recovery, and Revenge Mode, a comeback mechanic triggered at low health.

Stages feature interactive elements, including destructible objects, transition zones, and environmental hazards that can alter the flow of a match. Online play supports ranked and casual matches, lobbies, and cross-platform play, while offline modes include Arcade, Story, Mission, and Survival.

The game also offers a Create-A-Fighter feature via downloadable content, allowing players to customize move sets, outfits, and voice options, integrating the fighter fully into both online and offline gameplay.
