Super Crazy Jam: Fighting Multiverse is a 2024 crossover fighting game developed by SNK. It was released on April 11th worldwide exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It is loosely based on Super Crazy Jam: The King of Fighters Multiverse, a MUGEN crossover developed by a Brazilian author, who goes by his username, Wou.
Story[]
In the year 20XX, world renowned scientist Rick Sanchez, developed a type of machine that allows him to travel to different universes beyond of his own, so he can bring in more resources to his work. Suddenly though, while testing, a mysterious being from the future interfeered with Rick's work and trapped him inside a tube so they can find the source of the multiverse itself: The Connector. While trapped, Rick managed to get in contact with the person from their respective universe to tell them to stop the being coming out of nowhere and twart its plans.
After defeating multiple opponents, one of the playable characters managed to reach Rick's lab and encounters the being for the first time, who calls itself Neo Geegus X. The fighter was able to defeat them and free Rick, who then decides to take them back where they belong, but not before he congratulate them for saving the multiverse.
Gameplay[]
Much like its original source material, Super Crazy Jam: Fighting Multiverse is a 2 on 2 tag battle heavily inspired by SNK's Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, but with a additional mechanic coming from Street Fighter V, that being the V-Triggers, or Power Souls as they're called in this game.
