Sonic Mega Drive

Sonic Mega Drive is a 2D platforming game based on the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It borrows its concept and characters from the Archie miniseries of the same name, as well as the gameplay from Mania.

Plot

Dr. Eggman is trying to build a new engine of destruction: the MEGADRIVE, and it’s up to Sonic and his whole crew to stop the mad doctor and save the day.

Playable characters

Sonic

-Insta-Shield; Special Ability A when Jumping. Emits a small blade like barrier of air around Sonic.

-Elemental Shield Attack; Special Ability A. Sonic is the only character who can utilize the hidden attacks of the three Elemental Shields.

-Homing Attack; Special Ability B. At the cost of ten Rings he will just straight up fly right at the nearest enemy or boss delivering a hit.  

Tails

-Tail Copter; Special Ability B. His signature ability to fly, he can fly for a maximum of twelve seconds before getting tired and floating downward. Can be triggered whether he’s on the ground or in the air.

-Passable Swimmer; Jump when underwater. Is literally just his Tail Copter ability but underwater, he’ll still get tired after twelve seconds.

Amy

-Piko Piko Vault; Special Ability A/B. Is otherwise just a simple whack with her hammer, but if you hold it down you’ll charge up a super hammer slam that propels Amy upward like she jumped on a spring.  

-Piko Piko Roll; Special Ability A/B in the air. A double jump that sees Amy doing a perpetual forward somersault with hammer forward.

Knuckles

-Echidna Glide; Special Ability A/B in the air. You slowly float downward through the air. This doubles as an attack since he glides with his fists forward.

-Power Punch; Special Ability A/B on the ground. A short dash pile bunker punch that ignores armor and shields.

-Wall Climb; Jump against Wall. Can just climb up walls.
