ProtoGame 4x4[]
In early 1991, ProtoGame announced the ProtoGame 4x4 (pronounced four by four), an Add-On for the ProtoGame Quadriple, unlike the Sega CD, the price is more subdued at a $180 tag compared to Sega CD's $299, ProtoGame has a promo of , the ProtoGame 4x4 also used Cartridges instead, the ProtoGame 4x4 is released allowing less loading times (or none at all!), ProtoGame dropped the Quadriple's price later that year to a decent $199, decent timing too since the SNES had recently launched at the time.
once the Add-on is released by May 1991, ProtoGame also had a royalty promo for the ProtoGame 4x4, existing owners that own the system for a minimum of three months can get the add-on for a discounted price of $149 (or a one in 10,000 chance to get it for free)
