Gameplay:
N.eed for Speed: New Most Wanted has taken elements from other games like Need for Speed: Carbon, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), Need for Speed Heat, Need for Speed: World and other games to offer the best gaming experience possible. To advance on the Career Mode, the player will need to win races, complete milestones and accumulate bounty to face the game bosses: the members of Rockport City’s Blacklsit.
Many aspects that had the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted have been renovated. The handling of the vehicles is a lot more realistic, but also comfortable. The game now will have realistic damage, so if player’s car crushes the performance of the vehicle’s performance will decrease, and even can be destroyed. There also will be more realism in the weather (when is raining, the cars will drift more, there will be wind, etc.) The game also adds the Racing Experience Level, another way to unlock cars that are more powerful, iconic or expensive that the other ones. After winning a Blacklist member, some of the vehicles that the player unlocks by beating him won’t be able to purchase if the player hasn’t reached a determinate Experience Level. To raise the Experience Level, the player needs to win races, make some big racing scores, raise his bounty and cause problems to the cops. The max Experience Level that player can reach is the Level 70.
Customization in the game have been completely renovated. The player will be able to customize his ride and his character (this last only to Multiplayer and Online mode).
The performance of the cars is determinate by four aspects: Top Speed (the maximum speed that the vehicle can reach), Acceleration (how much fast the car reaches his top speed) and Handling (the aptitude of the vehicle to take curves) and Weight (determines the durability of the vehicle and its capacity to smash other vehicles). To upgrade the performance of his car, the player can buy kits of engine, transmission, suspension, tires, brakes, nitrous and turbo/supercharger (this upgrades won’t affect the Weight). In this game have been added the Progressive Magnification and the Progressive Downgrade, to equilibrate the performance of the vehicles of the game. This consists in a reduction of the performance upgrades available and its effect while faster is the car and vice versa. An example: A 1965 Ford Mustang will have more upgrades available than a 2017 Nissan GT-R Premium, but a 2018 Bugatti Chiron will have less upgrades available that the mentioned Nissan. At the same time, the increase of the performance of the Mustang produced by the upgrades will be higher than the one of the Nissan, and the Bugatti’s one will be lower than the Nissan’s one. Need for Speed: New Most Wanted adds the Performance Tuning which with the player can improve the performance of his vehicle to a specific race type. The player also can equip his ride with the Auxiliary Performance Upgrades. Some of these upgrades are:
- Extra Nitrous Boost: Adds power to the nitrous without affecting its duration.
- Extra Nitrous Duration: Adds duration to the nitrous without affecting its power.
- Weight Reduction Kits: Increases the Top Speed and the Acceleration but reduces the Weight.
- Weight Increment Kits: Increases the Weight to cost o Top Speed and Acceleration.
- Nitrous Refill: The player can refill its NO2 tank limited times.
- Reparation Kit: The player can fix his car automatically when he drives limited times. This won’t work if the vehicle Is already totaled or in drag races.
- Re-Inflatable Tires: If the player passes over a spike band on a pursuit, their tires will inflate again after some time.
The player needs to consider that he only can equip three of this upgrades at the same time.
The player can also customize his ride with visual upgrades. This customization has been fully renovated. Now the player can put Front Bumpers, Rear Bumpers, Side Skirts and other bodywork pieces by separated (like in actual NFS games) or combined on the Body Kits (like in the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted). There are a lot more of pieces available to customize. The bodywork pieces will add some Weight to the vehicle, but without affecting his racing performance. The player also can paint his vehicle and decorate him just like he wants. The vinyl customization is just like the actual one, but the Body Vinyls are back.
These are the visual pieces (and other customizations) that the player can put now to his ride:
- Front Bumpers
- Splitters
- Front Canards
- Front Fenders
- Rear Bumper
- Diffusers
- Rear Canards
- Rear Fenders
- Side Skirts
- Spoilers
- Rims

Single Player Mode
In Single Player Mode, the player will be able to play in career mode, the main story of the game. In the Quick Race mode, the player can drive alone or with friends, in a random-designed race or in a custom race. The Challenge Series, a Game Mode that appeared by last time in the Need for Speed franchise in the 2011 Need for Speed: The Run, will be back in this game, ready to offer us an extension of the game and some special unlocks (new vehicles, vinyls and pieces). In career mode, the player won’t be able to customize his character’s face or gender. This is made to keep the story with logic (boy, do you imagine thousands of Brians, all with different faces?).
Multiplayer/Online Mode:
Online or not, Multiplayer mode will offer us many new faces. In Multiplayer Mode, players can race between them in Quick Race Mode or in Online Events. The Online Mode features a really complex system of servers where the player can join to a whole community, his country’s players or a group of friends. To enter in this servers, the player needs to have an account. Once the player is on a server, will play in a free roam map with all the people that are in the server at the same time. A player can send an invitation to a racing event to some people. There will be a different vehicle list for the vehicles that the player uses in Career Mode, in Quick Racing Mode and in Online Mode. The administrators if a server can organize big events, like the Race Days of 2007 Need for Speed: ProStreet, and invite a really large number of players. In the Online Mode, the player can fully customize his car and his character, earn money in events, purchase vehicles in dealerships, etcetera. The player also can enter in a Police Pursuit, alone or with other people. Even when the player will have all the things he can purchase if he has unlocked them and there are other differences, Need for Speed: New Most Wanted’s Online Mode works similar to Need for Speed: World.
Game Modes:
In this game there are many game modes that the players can play. These game modes are divided in 2 classes: Racing Events and Milestones.
Racing Events:
In Need for Speed: New Most Wanted there are 10 types of racing events. Some of these game modes are extracted or inspired from the game Need for Speed: Carbon to expand the possibilities of the game.
* New Game Modes.
~ New Game Modes exclusive to Online Mode
- Circuit: The pilots will drive in a circuit track. The objective is to be the first driver to pass the goal in the last lap. In Circuit races can take part from 4 to 10 drivers, and can have 2 to 4 laps.
- Lap Knockout: A variant of the Circuit Races. In Lap Knockout events the racer in last place will be eliminated from the race after each lap. These events will always be 3 laps length and will feature up to 4 racers at same time.
- Endurance*: Endurance events have the same rules than the normal Circuit events, but the tracks will be much longer and more complicated, and they’ll have a lot more laps. The objective of the Endurance racer is to resist all the laps and be the first pilot to cross the finish line on the last lap. These events can last from 5 to 8 laps and have 10 to 20 racers on the track at the same time. Unlike in the normal Circuit races, the tracks of the Endurance races will be more winding and will have more obstacles. In these events, the damage can be fatal.
- Sprint: Sprint events are long distance races from a point A to a pint B without laps. The winner is the first pilot to cross the finish line. In these races, the player needs to maintain the concentration, as there will be no laps where he can recover the time he loses. In these events can participate from 4 to 10 drivers.
- Speedtrap: Very similar to sprint races, in Speedtrap races the player will need to race from a pint A to a point B accumulating speed. On the track there will be several speedcams that will record the speeds reached by the racers when they pass through them. The objective of Speedtrap races is to accumulate the highest total top speed. In these events can participate from 4 to 8 drivers.
- Tollbooth Time Trial: These races are sprint races where the pilot needs to cross through several toolbooths and get to the finish before the time runs out. Every time the player passes through a toolbooth, will add time to the timer.
- Drift*: Multi-lap circuit racing where the racers will drift through the track with the goal to accumulate more drift pints that any other racer. While faster you go, longer the drift, highest the angle and closer you are of the walls, more points you’ll earn. Combining drifts of each curve, you’ll increase the point multiplier. Each time you crush with the walls, you lose the drift points you’ve earned. Basically, the drift races work the same as the Need for Speed: Carbon ones, and are inspired on them. In Drift events will always drive 4 racers, but not at the same time, and will have 2 laps length.
- Simultaneous Drift*: A variant of Drift races where the racers will drift at the same time on the course. These events will always be duel races of 3 laps length. In these events there will be two roles that will be chosen at random: Racer 1 and Racer 2. Racer 1 will be chasing the opponent, gaining more drift points while closer he is to the opponent, and earning less pints while farther away is from the rival. Racer 2 will be chased by his opponent, earn more drift points while farther away is from his opponent and will gain less points while closer is to the other runner. If Racer 1 crushes Racer 2, he will earn points, but if Racer 2 crushes Racer 1, he will lose points. This game mode is inspired on the Tandem Drift from the game idea “Need for Speed: ProStreet 2” made for LoganC22, which is inspired by the “Canyon Duel” of Need for Speed: Carbon. All the variants of Drift races and the Drag races are the only events without police risk.
- Drag: Races developed on a track of ¼ mile to 1.5 miles length. Drag races require the use of manual gear changes in the just moment to for the player to be successful. In Need for Speed: New Most Wanted, drag races tracks have curves and traffic, so it is maybe the hardest kind of race of the game. Drag races and Drift races are the only events without police risk.
- Blacklist Challenge: The Blacklist Challenges are duel events of at least 2 races where the player faces with some member of the Blacklist.
Except of the Blacklist Challenges, these races can be played in Single Mode (Career Mode or Quick Race Mode) and Multiplayer Mode.
Milestones:
The milestones are pursuit challenges, objectives than the player can complete. Completing milestones is obligatory to complete the Career Mode and challenge members of the Blacklist. Milestones can have many objectives, like escape from a pursuit before/after some time, smash a particular number of roadblocks, achieve a definite cost to state or bounty, etcetera.
Challenge Series:
In Need for Speed: New Most Wanted we’ll have back the Challenge Series. The Challenge Series will keep the same format that the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted one (Tollbooth Time Trials and Milestones only) The difference is that now we’ll unlock more things by completing challenges of the Challenge Series, like special pieces, unique cars, unique decals and more. There are 70 Challenges on the Challenge Series of Need for Speed: New Most Wanted. To unlock one challenge, the player will need complete one of the previous challenges. If the player puts in the main menu the cheat “GNIKREGRUB” will unlock the secret challenges number 71 and 72. Challenge 71 will be a Tollbooth Time Trial where the player will drive in Brian’s new BMW M5 and Challenge 72 will be a Milestone with the BMW M3 GTR E46 of the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted. In the DLC “Deluxe Concepts”, there will be also the Challenge 73, where the player will be chased in a Condition 7 pursuit with a Lamborghini Miura Concept.

Police
The Rockport Police Department (R.P.D) is the main law enforcement agency of Rockport City. The player will need to face with the police many times to progress on career mode. Rockport’s police now haves a really smarter A.I in comparison to the 2005 game. Among this and other slight modification, the tactics and functioning of the R.P.D still being the same than the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted. That yes, the police vehicle list has been completely renovated, having only the 2005 Pontiac GTO back.
Pursuit Conditions:
Condition 1: The first and the softest condition of all. In this condition, the Cruiser Civil Patrol will be chasin’ you, in some 2011 Ford Crown Victoria. They have good acceleration and handling, but have low top speeds, are really fragile, and with some practice will be easy to lose. In this pursuit condition, the police will be going in groups of a maximum of 5 cops and the reinforces will take 3 minutes to come.
Condition 2: In Condition 2, the Undercover Civil Patrol will be chasing you. They also drive in 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, but the cars will be completely painted in dark blue and the sirens will be inside the car. Now they aren’t so easy to immobilize and will reach high speeds. They will be chasing you in groups of 10 patrols as maximum and the reinforces will take 3 minutes to come. Since this condition, the police will use roadblocks to try stp you.
Condition 3: Now the pursuit will be headed by the State Patrol (2005 Pontiac GTO police cars). They will have big accelerations and top speeds, but will have a bad handling. However, will be a bit hard to immobilize. Since this moment, the Rhinos will also appear in pursuit, but only to embed you by the front. The Rhinos will be 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, and will reach top speeds approximated to the 200 KM/H. Now the roadblocks will be more frequent. The police will be chasing you in groups of maximum 15 cops and and the reinforces will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds to come.
Condition 4: The Undercover State Patrol will be in charge of the pursuit. Cops will be driving in the same model than in Condition 3, but will be fully painted in dark blue, the sirens will be inside the car, the police vehicles will be harder to immobilize and also will be faster, reaching the 300 KM/H. The Rhinos will be heavier and faster. The roadblocks now might have nail bands (if the player passes over one of them, their wheels will be deflated and it will be almost impossible to escape the pursuit). This problem may become less serious if the player equips re-inflatable tires. Also, there will appear the Police Helicopter, that will indicate your position. Now they will be chasing you in groups of a maximum of 25 unities and the reinforces will take 2 minutes and 30 seconds to come.
Condition 5: If the player reaches the 5°th pursuit condition, the Federal Patrol will be chasing him, driving in 2017 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport vehicles. These vehicles will be extremely fast and resistant, and will equip supercharger and nitrous. The Rhinos will appear in the pursuit to embed you, but also to chase you. Rhinos will also be faster and more durable. There will appear also roadblocks of Corvettes or Rhinos, some ones with nail bands. The Police Helicopter will also be chasing you, but now will also try to crush with the player. This only will happen on open spaces (like in a road). Cross might appear in pursuit, driving a Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray. His car won’t be so fast like the other police Grand Sport ‘Vettes, cause will only equip supercharger. Now the police will be chasing you in groups of a maximum of 25 cops and the reinforces will take now 1 minutes and 30 seconds to come.
Condition 6: This pursuit condition will only be available in the end of the game, in the final pursuit of the game, where the player will be driving in Brian’s BMW M5 CS. The Undercover Federal Patrol will head the pursuit, with extremely powerful and durable dark blue Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport vehicles. The Rhinos will work just as in Condition 5. They will be really fast, because they will be equipped with Nitrous. Cross will also appear in the pursuit in his Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray. The roadblocks will be really frequent and might have nail bands. All the safe zones are blocked, and the only way to elude the pursuit will be jump the bridge. Now the cops will be chasing you in groups of a maximum of 30 unities and the reinforces will only take 45 second to come.
Condition 7: The last pursuit condition. The player will only play in this pursuit in the Challenge 70 of the Challenge Series, available on the DLC Pack “Deluxe Concepts”. In this challenge, the player will be driving in an orange 2007 Lamborghini Miura Concept. In this pursuit only will appear Rhinos, but they will be heavier and faster than in Condition 6. These Rhinos will be equipped with super-powerful Nitrous and Supercharger. An authentic challenge made for the best players.

Trivia:
- This is my first idea in the Game Ideas Wiki!!!! Also is my first page in Fandom. I speak Spanish and my English is terrible, so, don’t be so bad, please. I needed to use traductor to write this article xD.
- For the customizations in this fanmade, I’ve used the game Need for Speed: ProStreet. The reason because I’ve don’t used NFS Heat Studio or more recent NFS games is cause my laptop (not even PC) is not so much powerful, and the latest NFS game that I have is, exactly, the ProStreet. I want to give very thanks to the modders of Need for Speed, that make possible the customization of the Blacklist’s members cars.
- The 2006 Ford GT that you see as Pangui’s car (not added till this day) is just to give you an idea of how would be his Porsche 917 Living Legend. I don’t know if there exists any mod of a customizable Porsche 917 Concept for Need for Speed: ProStreet, Need for Speed: Carbon or Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Same thing happens with Noel (SRT Viper instead his Rezvani) If there exists some mod, say it to me, please.
- The #20 Blacklist’s racer, Roger, is inspired in the demo of the 2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted, where Rog appeared in the Blacklist, in the #16 slot.
- The reason to use the BMW M5 CS as the hero’s car instead of the 2021 BMW M3 is cause the M5 CS is, till the date, the fastest BMW. Including the vehicle used in this idea, Brian have used 3 series of BMW: M3 (2005 Need for Speed: Most Wanted), M4 (Need for Speed: No Limits) and M5 (this idea).
- When the player races by night, haves a 50% of seeing in the sky a Death Star-like satellite in the sky. This satellite is really far off in the distance, and only visible if the player looks carefully. This Easter-Egg is a reference to the game idea Need for Speed: Most Wanted – Empire City made by LoganC22.
- I’ve extracted some elements from the game idea Need for Speed: ProStreet 2 made by LocanC22. The car list is inspired in the one from these games and game ideas:
- Need for Speed 2015
- Need for Speed: Heat
- Need for Speed: Most Wanted – Empire City (LoganC22)
- Need for Speed: ProStreet 2 (LoganC22)
- Need for Speed: War (LoganC22)
- Need for Speed: Outlaw (Sam Imbecile)
- Need for Speed: New Most Wanted will have a sequel (obviously, my next game idea) in 2023, called Need for Speed: New Carbon, the remake of the 2006 Need for Speed: Carbon. Wait for it!
