Mortal Kombat Reborn is the title for the 12th fighting game in the Mortal Kombat series, developed by the newly named NetherRealm Studios (formerly Midway). The game was first hinted at by developer Ed Boon in January 2020, shortly after the release of the previous game in the franchise, Mortal Kombat 11. On June 18, 2020, Boon confirmed in his Twitter account that they were performing motion capture for the game.
