Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season is an upcoming episodic adventure game developed and published by Fable Interactive. Since the game will not be released as a separate game due to it being a direct continuation to the first two seasons and Ramon, it will be included as a bundled standalone expansion within the latter game.

A revival of the Minecraft: Story Mode and the sequel to Ramon, based on the 2012 phenomenon, Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season's story is set in Jesse's homeland, Ireland, and takes place over six years after the "canon ending" of Ramon, during the month of December 2012, and revolves around an aging Jesse who, before his full retirement, goes on one last mission to save the world, by teaming up with his sword-fighting amateur friend named Steve and a shape-shifting punk girl named Nimona, who work together as a team to defeat Herobrine, a demonic entity that threatens to end the world in just one week.

Along with the new third season, reimagined remakes of the first two seasons, serving as prequels set in 1970s Ireland, to both Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season and Ramon, will also be bundled within the two games.

Like Ramon, the directors of Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season also tends to repeat the mature-themed formula from Ramon, in this game.

Gameplay[]

Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season is an episodic interactive drama adventure video game. It was released as a number of five episodes, similar to Telltale Games' gameplay formula. Players can collect items, solve puzzles, and talk to non-player characters through conversation trees to learn about the story and determine what to do next. Decisions that the player makes affect events in both the current episode and later episodes. However, unlike the original game, Minecraft - Story Mode: The Final Season is intended to handle mature or emotional overtones.

Elements of crafting and building were included in the gameplay which are central to Minecraft. The game includes combat and other action sequences, carried out through both quick time events and more arcade-like controls, such as steering around debris on a road.

Synopsis[]

The Final Season/Season 3[]

Over six years after the events of Ramon, the story takes place in December 2012 and features an aging Jesse who, with the help of his own powers along with the power of his other two friends, tries to prevent the upcoming end of the world by finding the greatest weakness of a demonic entity called Herobrine to prevent his 2012 doomsday plan scheduled for the infamous day of December 21, 2012.

Remakes[]

Season 1[]

During the month of March 1972, in the first four episodes, Jesse and his friends attempt to reunite an ancient group of heroes known as the Order of the Stone to save the Overworld from the destructive Wither Storm.

The rest of the first season takes place three months later and follows Jesse and his friends, now the new Order of the Stone, on a new adventure after discovering a powerful artifact.

Season 2[]

Five years after the events of Season 1, during the month of September 1977, Jesse now runs the city of Beacontown. The utopian feeling doesn't last long as the Admin attacks the city and, after fending off the attack, Jesse and his friends go on a mission to find the Admin's weak point and stop him once and for all.

Sex and Nudity (Mild)[]

  • The sexual themes in all of the three seasons are subtle, nothing too extreme. Worst you can find is one of the character giving a middle finger, which is actually a very infamous gesture due to it representing a dildo.

Violence & Gore (Severe)[]

  • Unlike the original game which is family-friendly, the remakes and the final season are now much more violent than before.
  • Alot of the characters throughout the three seasons are killed via impalement, due to the game's central weapons being swords.

Profanity (Moderate)[]

  • Although there are just mildly bad words (ex: hasons, the third season's dialogue has stronger words like "f*ck", "sh*t" and "b*tch".

Alcohol, Drugs and Smoking (Mild)[]

  • In the third season, Nimona's surrogate father figure, Ballister Boldheart, moderately drinks beer bottles.

Frighening & Intense Scenes (Severe)[]

  • Fighting is very intense and the amount of blood, although blocky-looking, can scare younger players.
