Melty Blood: Type Lumina - Before the Act is a current update title of Type: Lumina. It contains not only downloadable characters that are added during Tsukihime -the other side of red garden- era, but also update patches.

Update Patches[]

  • Additional character sprite animations, due to Sion's inclusion has her re-use the sprites from Under Night In-Birth:
    • Missing animations: Floor Slide, Pushback, Staggered, Ground Recovery and T-Pose Wall Splat Bind states
    • Additional sprite parts for proper animations of: Downed, Wall Bounced, Cheap KO/Crumpled, Falling, Launched and Sweeped are included
    • Some character moves' damage properties changes
  • Last Arc can now be cancelled from normals, specials, EX and Supers properly, rather than through Moon Drive or Dash Cancels
  • Cross Blood Heat: Cancel normals and specials into Blood Heat Gauge Depends on how many level are there
  • Moon Drive can now fill one more Magic Circuit Level Gauge into Level 4 for short period. Vlov's case has moveset properties changing
  • Initial Roster's Rapid Beat 2 moves can also be command moves & can be re-beat. Those that has command followup will automatically

  • Universal Launcher Input (3C) and some moves that has Launcher has their properties changed:
    • Hold to auto jump cancel
    • When not charged, it can be re-beat and jump cancelled, thus the launcher properties is the same as Under Night In-Birth (such as the opponent's recovery after being launched normally)
  • Super Jumps no longer solely goes forward
  • Powered Ciel no longer the only character who can cancel Throws to Specials/Moon Skill/EX/Arc Moves

  • Characters who have yet receive English dub (not counting Neco counterparts and alternate forms of base characters)) marks the first time to receive one.
  • Characters who appeared in English dubbing anime, will have their latest English voice actors reprises their roles. Tsukihime is currently only have one anime adaption, while Fate uses their current anime voice actors. However, almost Tsukihime characters has re-casted English voice actors.
