The game begins where the previous one left off. With Master Thomas and his Mega Men cornering Master Mikhail. Later, Prometheus and Pandora, show up unharmed after they had their energy briefly stolen by the Ouroburos. Preventing Mikhail from escaping as the seven servants of Model W explain their motives why they seek to follow the evil Biometal before seemingly killing Mikhail and revealing that they obtained Model Z.

Master Thomas has sent his Mega Men to retrieve Model Z, Model X and Model A so he could enact his plan with Model W. However, Master Mikhail has a few aces upon his sleeves.

The Priest tell Prairie that Legion are working for Model W and will throw the Guardians and Hunter's Guild under the bus. to which Prairie dismisses as a conspiracy theory and asks The Priest to leave the Base.

Dom and Paz arrive in the nick of time with an injured Luna. while there, Dom and Paz ask Anna to treat Luna's wound while they preoccupy Rango and Bruto respectively

Mega Man ZX Resurgence, known as Rockman ZX Mugen in Asia, is a video game developed by Inti Creates and Treasure by Capcom for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows and iGame. It is the third game in the Mega Man ZX series.

Mega Man ZX Resurgence received critical acclaim upon release. much like Mega Man X9, Capcom was able to make the game more accessible to new players by adding an engaging story and several new mechanics and layouts, all without either detracting from the series' core gameplay elements or alienating vetaran fans. However, in contrast to Mega Man X9, Mega Man ZX Resurgence is a 2D side scrolling platformer with an Anime artstyle. the game was also a commercial success, selling 10 million copies in it's lifetime.

Gameplay

Plot

The game begins where the previous one left off. With Master Thomas and his Mega Men cornering Master Mikhail. Later, Prometheus and Pandora, show up unharmed after they had their energy briefly stolen by the Ouroburos. Preventing Mikhail from escaping as the seven servants of Model W explain their motives why they seek to follow the evil Biometal before seemingly killing Mikhail and revealing that they obtained Model Z.

A few days later, Prairie is approached by a mysterious person who calls himself The Priest. The Priest tell Prairie that Legion are working for Model W and will throw the Guardians and Hunter's Guild under the bus. to which Prairie dismisses as a conspiracy theory and asks The Priest to leave the Base.

One Year Later, a man called Herschel, owns and runs an orphanage of raid survivors. said survivors are receiving Biometals after a while. Herschel also gained ownership of Model Z(who through some mumbo jumbo regained its original body).

One Day, Herschel decided to show the revisit of Next Generation Reploids/Humanoids/Humans, who contained a copy chip that prevents them from becoming Maverick. The orphans we're impressed by the show, yet a few of it's attendees were skeptical about the intention.

After the event, the Orphanage has been ambushed by two scientifically engineered humans. The former was a Male in Blue and Gold Armor, while the latter was a Female in Red and Black Armor. The ambushers made it clear they mean no harm and are just following orders from Master Thomas and have retrieved Model Z from the Orphanage.

Feeling guilt for being unable to secure Orphanage "Property", two of the orphans, Dom and Paz chase after the two agents.

After fighting off Gilgamesh, Dom/Paz will be saved by one of the other orphans, Luna.

After retrieving Model Z from Gilgamesh. Dom, Paz, the other Orphans and the Hunters are invited to the opening of Sky City, which is sponsored by VEXpress and the Guardians. however, Sky City is crashed by a group of 8 Pseudoroid called the Necrobots, led by Magma Dragonoid. at the tipping point, Dom/Paz(who now own Model Z) will berate Dragonoid for thinking his trick from the Repliforce War will work a second time. afterwards, Dom/Paz encounter Gilgamesh and Nibiru again under the city's surface, who this time are actually escorting the attendees of Sky City to safety. thinking the two have sent the Necrobots, Dom/Paz fight and defeat Nibiru while Gilgamesh slows down the descent of Sky City.

After fighting off Nibiru, Dom/Paz are scolded by Luna and another orphan, Dulce/Frio.

After the Sky City incident, Legion brand the Guardians as Maverick. shocked by the decision, Prairie is going through an existential crisis until she is approached again by The Priest. the day after, Prairie and the Guardians declare independence from Legion and Innerpeace. in response to the declaration, Legion task the Hunters with the dismantlement of the Guardians.

With the task in hand, Dom and Paz are thrown in a Warzone, in which they have no choice but to dismantle the organization in which their idols serve in. Model Z tells them to shrug it off so they could complete the task at hand.

....

After defeating 4 of the 8 Necrobots. The Guardians have taken over Legion in a coup d'état and declared Prairie as the ruler of the world. The Guardians send two of their new recruits, Bruto and Rango to attack Hunter's Camp while several Hunter Units are being deployed to defend civillians from Guardian Forces. Dom and Paz arrive in the nick of time with an injured Luna. while there, Dom and Paz ask Anna to treat Luna's wound while they preoccupy Rango and Bruto respectively

Dom and Thetis enter an argument with the latter calling out the former for being selfish, which led to the lack of manpower that could've prevented the Guardians from succeeding in their coup. Later the two patch out their differences and re-establish their friendship.

Before infiltrating Legion Headquarters, Dom and Paz will be given Model A by Grey and Ashe.

After defeating the 4 Mutos Reploids and Vent/Aile. Fleuve appears alongside Valia, Dron, Camino, Rango, Bruto and Ganar. And reveals that he has taken command of the Guardians and that they now work for The Priest.

After defeating the other 4 Necrobots, Dom, Paz, Luna, Frio and Dulce are sent to hijack Guardian Base and rescue Prometheus and Pandora while Aeolus, Atlas, Siarnaq, Thetis, Ashe, Grey, Dorado, Palido, Wolff, Nick, Nem and Sharon are split into pairs that are tasked with decommisioning 6 of the 7 Black Moons

After entering the Black Moons, Dom and Paz encounter Master Thomas, who tells the former that he is his descendent and the latter that she was created as a backup body in the image of a daughter. After defeating Master Thomas. Dr. Weil is resurrected through the sacrifice of Master Thomas and the chain between the Black Moons. Infuriated that Dr. Weil is back in the flesh. The Priest orders Fleuve to crash Guardian Base at Hunter's Camp.

After Crashing Guardian Base at Hunter's Camp, Luna, Frio and Dulce became Nightmare Investigators at will in a fit of rage. in response, Doraro, Palido and other orphans offer to work for Weil in exchange for protection from the radiation. after freeing Doraro, Palido and the Orphans from Weil's control. Dom and Paz face Luna, Frio and Dulce. after a heated battle, the latter 3 come to their senses.

After defeating Valia, Dron and Fleuve. Mikhail appears before Dom and Paz in a new body that looks like a well known scientist from 4 centuries ago. Mikhail then explains to Dom and Paz about who he is and his origins as Dr. Cossack. the fact he orchestrated the entire conflict between the Guardians and the Hunters out of spite for Master Thomas and his intentions of reviving the source of the Maverick Virus, Ra-Moon.

After entering the last of the Black Moons, Dom and Paz will confront Weil and try to fight him. only for the fight to be interrupted by Ra-Moon's ressurection at the expense of Weil's mere existence. afterwards, Cossack and Sigma show up with the former giving a speech that inflames tha masses to become Nightmare Invertigators at will and wreck havoc across the planet. with the world in chaos, Dom and Paz make a final stand against the newly fused Cossack Ra-Sigma.
