Lidl Console is one of the very first cheap color handheld consoles, manufactured since February 8th, 1981 by Lidl, a (West) German hard-discount brand.

Clones

East Germany

In 1987, an East-German company called Robotron made a clone of the West-German Lidl Console, which was called "Robotron TVC 8781". It was almost the same as the 1981 Lidl Console, but with cloned components and adapted to SECAM instead of PAL.
