Title Card

Glitch Versus is an indie crossover fighting game developed and published by Glitch Productions. It features characters from various Glitch Productions animated series as well as characters outside of Glitch Productions as they compete against each other in multiplayer battles. This game has gameplay similiar to Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series.

Gameplay[]

Glitch Versus is a platform fighter for up to four players in which characters from various Glitch Productions animated series and outside of Glitch Productions fight to knock each other out of an arena. Each player has percentage meter which raises if they take damage, thus increasing the knockback they take and making them easier to launch in the air and out of the arena.

In this game, the characters have their own movesets which makes them different from each other. These movesets can be upgraded to become stronger by using Glitch Coins obtained after the battle. Apart from that, each character also has a Final Glitch Strike which can be performed by obtaining a Glitch Orb that appears randomly in the arena. With it, players can deliver fatal attacks to opponents that increase damage and launch them out of the arena.

This game can also be played online using a Wi-Fi network.

Trivia[]

  • This game is developed after the latest GlitchX.
  • Initially, the game was going to be called Web-a-Versus before being renamed to Glitch Versus.
  • In the initial concept, Tricky (Madness Combat), Garnet Heart (The Magical Girl : GARNET HEART!), and Veronica Daring (Hullabaloo) should have been included in the playable character roster. However, they were ultimately cut during the development stage.
  • In the initial concept, Caine (The Amazing Digital Circus) and Glam (Metal Family) were part of the playable character roster. However, they were ultimately cut and replaced by Pomni and Victoria respectively.
    • According to information, Caine was cut because he was too overpowered, while Glam was cut because he couldn't fight.
  • In the initial concept, Pomni's alternate costume was her form after being possessed by the Evil Spirits in episode 3. However, her costume was eventually replaced by the Spudsy's Uniform because it would have been difficult to animate her facial expressions.
  • The concept of rivalries is inspired by the game Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.
  • The rivalry between Blitzø (Helluva Boss) and Uzi (Murder Drones) is a direct reference to the Helluva Boss vs Murder Drones crossover animation by MORØ.
  • In the initial concept, the final boss (who was the main antagonist of the game) was a cosmic entity called SpindleGoose, which was a fusion between SpindleHorse (the studio that produced Helluva Boss) and Gooseworx (creator of The Amazing Digital Circus series). However, SpindleGoose was cut and replaced by Glitch the Skull (who was based on Glitch Productions itself) instead.
