~ The voice when the Alliance is selected in the Conquest mode. |
The Alliance of Hawke are one of the twenty-one core factions in Gaiaterra: Elysea's Conflict. This faction relies on decisive action, mobility, subterfuge, dominance of the skies, and technological superiority.
Description[]
"The Alliance stands!"
-A motto of the Alliance of Hawke
The Alliance of Hawke are a military and political alliance between the Humans of Thedas, Europa and Aselia, the Dwarves of the Ironforges and the Wood Elves of Athel Loren that was formed following the Hawke Treaty during the Great Voshkod-Aquilan War of 1955-1958 V.C. to help the Aquilans alongside the Zemurians and Andorans while fighting the Voshkods and their allies on their homes at the same time. After the war, it become one of the leading powers in Gaiaterra and it became one of the founding members of the Guardians of the Tacitus.
After the GVAW, it was generally thought that the Alliance would dissolve, but the rather militant and slightly paranoid government of Ironforge and the violently anti-communist administration of President McCarthy helped to keep the Alliance together through peacetime. Though all Alliance leaders were accused, at the time, of paranoia, the successor to Garlean after his mysterious death, Cherdenko, validated their fears, as the new Premier seemed all too eager to once again plunge Gaiaterra into a series of proxy wars until 1989 V.C. when Lunafreya takes over after Cherdenko's death. However, around the same time the death of President McCarthy, and the MLA successful bombings of Aquila cities in the war of 2008 V.C., lead to a rise in isolationism in the Aquilans, and their complete withdrawal from the Alliance. Whatever happened next, the Alliance would face it with their most powerful member on the sidelines, at least at first.
The Alliance's primary members were Orlais, Ferelden, Aselia, Gallia, Vinland, Edinburgh, Ironforge and Athel Loren, Aquila was once part of the Alliance (though they allways affirm it as suppliers) but had cut ties and went into isolation after the disaster of Operation Zero Hour and had only went out of isolation. It originally served as a unified military command of armies. The Alliance of Hawke fought to protect their home nations, and later, the world of Gaiaterra from the Destroyers of Balthazar.
The Alliance have a long tradition of utilizing fast and efficient units coupled with advanced technology and aerial support to counter the Destroyers. The fact that Alliance units were able to outnumber and outmaneuver Voshkod tanks proved to be a major decisive factor in ensuring Aquilan Coalition victory during the Great Voshkod-Aquilan War.

Trivia[]
- At the top, there is a closeup portrait of Emily Gunther, is shown with navy blue background at the back in between the Alliance's factional flag at both sides. And at the bottom, it shows the background with an army of Alliance Defenders, Hoplites, Rocketeers, GIs, Chrono Legionnaires, Grizzly Tanks, Alliance Rangers, Prism Tanks, Arthemis Launchers, Challenger 2s, and a squadron of Stormchilds, Tornados, Warhawks and Archangels with a Paradox Engine coming out of the teleportation. So both of these are fused together into a single art design for the Alliance variant box art of Gaiaterra: Elysea's Conflict.
