"War, war never changes."
-Courier Six
Courier Six is the commando of the Aquila Remant, the sub-faction of the Minutemen Survivors. This unit is planned to be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal and Laura Bailey, with their voice randomly switching, representing how they, essentially, have no canon gender/mute in their game.
Tactical analysis[]
- Deal another hand and play: A simple courier who pledged themselves to the Minutemen. Courier Six is a support-oriented commando by rallying allies around them with their charisma and almost supernatural luck.
- Stack the deck, I'm letting nothing fall to chance: As a person who has wandered almost all Embry. Courier Six has picked up a variety of weapons they can use for almost every situation. From taking crack shots with a simple pistol, a high-powered rifle with artillery flares, a prototype MRL, a HMG assisted by a dog brain, or a hologram shooting rifle with hologram projectors. Allowing them to handle any situation.
- Caught off guard and left for dead: For all of their deeds and legends. The Courier is still human, vulnerable to anti-infantry weaponry. And their arsenal of weapons still pales in comparisons to the likes of Tanya, Rinoa, and similar multi-loadout commandos, and will often lose in a duel against a commando. Their strength, like their comrades Artyom, Dixie, and Umagon, lying within their powerful support abilities making them a potent force multiplier.
- Let every bettor stake their claim: Due to their extremely secretive nature, not helping that their tales getting extremely distorted. The Courier tends to be seen as another soldier by both their allies and enemies at first. But once they proven who they are allies are embolden by fighting alongside a legend, while foes are shaken at what seems to be an invincible warrior.
Overview[]
Appearance[]
Courier Six wears the Desert Ranger Combat Armor from Honest Hearts. Their attire changes depending on their veterancy. On veteran, they would switch out their armor for the NCR Ranger Combat Armor. When they're promoted to elite, they will switch to the Elite Riot Armor from Lonesome Road.
History[]
"..."
-...
Nobody, not even the Minutemen, really knows who Courier Six is, from where they were born, except that they are a native of Embry, to even their own gender thanks to their armor hiding their figure and their helmet containing a voice modulator, not Even Courier Six remember who they are, including their own name, due to brain damage. And what info is reliably known can be easily counted on one hand.
The only known history of the Courier prior to joining the Minutemen that is true is that they were a courier, though no one knows which side they fought or if they were a mercenary, whose last task before the nuclear exchange was transporting a platinum poker chip to Mr. House, a technology mogul who stayed neutral throughout the war, but was intercepted by a gang led by a man named Benny, and subsequently survived despite taking two shots to the head from a 9mm pistol. And within a month, after a quick recovery, hunted down and killed Benny, taking his pistol "Maria", the same pistol that shot them, and delivered the chip to Mr. House, which turned out to hold a crucial code that protected Houses island of Las Vegas thanks to extremely powerful point defense lasers. And when the bombs fell the Courier kept soldiering on, unintentionally getting embroiled in a massive battle for Las Vegas Hoover Dam by Caesar's Legion, the NCR, and Mr. House. Ending with the Courier basically devastating all three with the help of Yes-Man, a Protectron hacked by Benny, and turning New Vegas into a government led by the people. After which the Courier left, leaving behind a trail of legends. Being the only one who made contact with the Zion Tribes, where they found their "Survivalist" Rifle, confirmed the existence of the Big Empty, while also getting invasive surgeries one of which had rendered them immune to psychic attacks as their brain was tampered with and found a HMG/dog hybrid, the Sierra Madre, even taking a weapon as a memento and silencing its radio, and ventured into the hellish lands of Hopeville, leaving it with their signature riot armor and Red Glare, a prototype rocket launcher. And months later the Courier would wander into the Castle, delivering an important package, and after talking with the Minutemen pledge their support.
From then on Courier Six had worked alongside the Minutemen, though they tend to gravitate towards the Aquila Remnants, and has shown countless times to be completely loyal to the Minutemen and their goal of restoring Embry. Their legend growing ever larger as they led almost every battle and came out victorious.
Due to their lack of a concrete image and tendency of wandering, and their alarming tendency to remain anonymous despite their actions, most armies, even their own forces, tend to now know who they are at first, often assuming them to be another minuteman soldier. But given enough time on the field, both sides would eventually recognize them. With allies now inspired to fight alongside them while they strike dread deep into the hearts of their enemies, causing them to momentarily be filled with terror as the lone wolf shoots down their comrades one by one.
