Gaiablast! is a 2008 Rainshooter/Light Gun game made by ProtoGame Entertainment, it's a Spin-Off to the Marcus Stone franchise, unlike the Marcus Stone franchise, it was released exclusively in Asia (because the ProtoGame Synergy was Asia-exclusive due to Arcades being very unsuccessful in the west) and in Arcades (until a remake was released Worldwide for the ProtoGEAR)
Plot[]
The game plots around two senior high students Miku and Tari, when they suddenly heard a loud thunder and felt a massive increase in temperature
Gameplay[]
The player must shoot a variety of enemies including evil clowns, zombies, ghosts and whatnot, you can sometimes shoot at items for additional score, the scoring system is the same with the previous Marcus Stone games (100 per normal hit, 1000 per headshot), but now there is a score multiplier which fills when you damage enemies a la Virtua Cop, unlike the Marcus Stone series, you have a health bar for each player instead of lives, Marcus Stone 4 would later adapt the multiplier and shop mechanics, the game has 10 Stages
- Stage 1: First Strike
- Civilians: 14
- Routes: 1
- Boss: Cyborg Abominatus
- Stage 2: Investigation
- Civillians: 20 (Only 12 can be saved in a row)
- Routes: 2
- Boss: Amagon (a wanted criminal)
- Stage 3: Fortnight
- Stage 4: Savanna
- Stage 5: Sahaya
- Stage 6: Apocalypse Wow
- Stage 7: Reprise (Refights of the first 6 bosses)
- Stage 8: Restoration

A new feature of this game is an ability to buy from a shop, the shopkeeper would sometimes come in specific checkpoints and allow you to buy his goods at the expense of some coins
