  • The Ninja Job can now wield two weapons (Dual Wield) at the same time, even matching Black Belt's strength!
  • The NES version Mystic Knight can cast most Black Magic instead of a few White Magic while the DS version Dark Knight can also retain the Souleater ability.
  • The Dragoon's Jump ability's attack power can be increased when wielding a spear.
  • The NES version Onion Knight can increase it's strength with the ability, Onion Power, where the more Onion equipment the Onion Knight is, well, equipped with, the stronger the user becomes by selecting this ability.
  • The graphics are much improved, including the DS version! (Now has the graphics quality of Final Fantasy XII)
