Multisoft (formerly known as Gamesoft) is a video game, comic, and pinball developer founded by Malik Brooks and co-founded by Nintendo and Konami. It has developed many comic books, mostly one-shots of different franchises, and is known for Bomb Strike, Superstar, Eternal Mythos, the Pix-Mix series and some arcade games. As Gamesoft, it was known for their pinball and classic arcade games. It was founded in early 1987.

In 2011, Multisoft claimed Burst Arts Inc. and their IPs from Namco after a 10-year agreement between the two companies, thus expanding their business. Their works are not listed here, but they have appeared in crossovers such as the Multisoft All-Star games.

Trivia[]

  • The company's mascot was originally Grade, a turquoise anthropomorphic weasel once found in The Pixel Collection. Overtime, the mascot has changed depending on who has starred in the Pix-Mix Collections. Today's mascots are the Bit Club.
  • While inspired by Japanese gaming companies such as Sega, Capcom, Namco, Atlus, etc., Multisoft has been mainly inspired by Western media, mainly cartoons and comics.
  • The company had two slogans. Their first was "Gaming for Real," seen in their adverts of games during their years as Gamesoft. Since the rebrand, the slogan was changed to "The True Form of Gaming."
