.Hack//ARCHIVES is an Action RPG Compilation developed by CyberConnect 2 and Published by Namco Bandai Games and Sony Computer Entertainment for the PS3 and PS4. It's a Compilation created to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the .Hack Franchise, and includes almost every piece of the franchise.

Gameplay[]
The .Hack Games are Action RPGs that try to simulate an MMORPG [described by some as a Massively Single Player Offline Role Playing Game (or MSORPG)]. The Gameplay is mainly in a Hack and Slash Style in 3rd Person (with an optional 1st person camera), where physical combat is mapped to a face button, while performing skills requires you to open a menu during combat. Another part of combat is the ability to hack into enemies using the Twilight Bracelet. You use the Twilight Bracelet to get to new areas and "Data Drain" Enemies for extra loot. But, if you use the Twilight Bracelet too much, you risk the chance of infection, and random side effects can occur. The G.U. games incorporate separate battles called "Avatar Battles" which are Shoot-Em-Up Style Battles between the main character and 1 enemy.
Music[]
The music for the .Hack games were done by Chikayo Fukada, who has also done the music for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle and Silent Bomber (Another game by CyberConnect), while the music for the animes were done by Yuki Kajiura (who is also responsible for the music for most of the Xenosaga games, Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Gundam SEED), and Kow Otani ( who has worked on music for Outlaw Star, and Shadow Of The Colossus)
