In Fallout: The Traveler, Crafting is used for creating a large variety of items, including the production of custom ammunitions and weapons with the Crafting skill, and the creation of food and medicinal items with the Survival skill.
Unifying the weapons and armor workbenches to one, not only it allows modifications for weapons and armor, workbenches is also enable the creation of health items, weapon repair kits, the recycling of residual expended flame, tinkering weapons and items, clothing, ammunition alongside variants and armor and energy ammunition into fresh ammunition, and the conversion of energy ammunition into other types of energy ammunition, and their variants. Workbenches are joined by reloading benches and campfires, with each offering different crafting options.
Chemistry Stations[]
The chemistry station can be used to create items containing chemical compounds, including chems, grenades, poisons, mines, stimpaks and syringer ammo.
Power Armor Station[]
The Power armor station allows the Traveler can use the station to attach, detach and repair armor mods when a power armor frame is installed at the station.
Reloading Bench[]
The reloading bench's primary purpose is to convert different forms of ammunition to others, making otherwise useless ammunition immediately valuable. However, these conversions do not share the same casings or hulls needed. They share only lead, powder, and primer, so these are not a straight conversion.
Nuka-Mixer[]
A soda fountain style machine, split into three sections which are used for crafting Nuka-Cola mixes, either freehand or using recipes. Despite every Nuka Mix recipe using ingredients containing radiation, Nuka-Cooler is the only mix that causes any radiation damage, albeit at a much lesser rate than the individual components.
Robot Workbench[]

Used to modify robot companions by equipping them with various robot mods. It can only done once Ada is recruited to the Traveler's Party following the side quest Halcyon's Automatron and the only way to modify Ada, the only known Automatron available. The robot workbench is the largest crafting station in the game both in width and in height. Robot Workbenches can be found in certain locations in the wasteland including one for Serenity Hideout via upgrading.
Cooking Station[]
They facilitate the cooking of various food, drink, and aid items from ingredients found in the wastes or grown in settlements.
Campfires[]
Campfires in the Wasteland are used to cook raw meats and to create a wide variety of medicines,. Campfires are scattered around the wasteland and will usually be found surrounded by some form of benches or makeshift bedding. Around the campfire, one may find pots, pans, and other various cooking utensils. Campfires may be found lit or unlit, but they still all function the same way.
Vehicle Garage[]
The Vehicle Garage allows the Traveler can use the station to modify and/or repair vehicles when a vehicle is in the Garage.
Components[]
All junk items consist of one or more "components,” a general term for the materials that make up each junk item. When crafting anything out of junk, the most readily available junk is broken down to its base components, and whatever ingredients needed for the recipe are consumed to make the crafted item. Any components not used are stored in either the Traveler character’s inventory or the workbench, depending on where the Traveler is crafting and where they are storing their junk.
