Disney Infinity 4.0: The Muppets & Fox Edition is a 2024 toys-to-life video game developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (with Disney and Fox's license). It is the fourth entry of Disney Infinity. The main theme for this installment is The Muppets and Fox (20th Century Studios), similar to 2.0's theme for Marvel characters and 3.0's theme for Star Wars characters. The game will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch & PC on August 25, 2024. This game marks the 10th anniversary of 2014's Disney Infinity 2.0. It also marks the 5th anniversary of Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox in 2019.
Gameplay changes[]
Disney Infinity 4.0 will follow the set up of the series previous installments. However, two new features introduced in 4.0 that have changed the way the game worked which will have included the long-awaited update of all 1.0 and 2.0 playable characters' skill trees and moveset to be updated with the 3.0 mechanics.
New Modes[]
Toy Box Story[]
Toy Box Story Mode will have allowed players to play through a set of missions in the Toy Box with any character they wanted.
Toy Box Speedway 2.0 expansion[]
Toy Box Speedway returns, but there's changes coming to the mode. Instead of 6 characters in races, there will be 12 characters, along with new tracks from Disney, The Muppets, Marvel, Star Wars, & Fox properties, and as well as a new hub world where you can explore, and do stunts, and an oval track for practicing against all racers, and a online feature where you can go on servers and race players all around the world. Brand New tracks from The Simpsons, Moana, Ice Age, Robots, X-Men, Avatar, The Muppets, Toy Story, Winnie the Pooh, Inside Out & Coco are included. As well as tracks from 3.0 are included as well.
The Toy Box Games expansion[]
A new game mode almost like Mario Party games, where you can play as a character and go against other characters in developer made minigames. there is no plot to the mode, but there is a opening cutscene where the Disney Infinity announcer tells various characters that there is a Minigames competition going on, and a huge prize. The Hub world is an indoor stadium. and you will go against 5 other characters in minigames.

Age of Smedlen playset
PLOT: It's been 3 years since the League of Paws saved Hu and Lahou but Sergei sends an evil apprentice Gaven Smedlen to put an end to the League of Paws, then part 2, After a Malevolent enemy known as Gaven Smedlen destroyed the world and everything, Max and Super Gidget are ready to infiltrate Sergei's Circus, rebuild the League of Paws and restore everything from evil Sergei.
ENDING: Gaven Smedlen easily defeated the League of Paws in Florida which, then in Secret Life of Pets 4 Age of Smedlen Part 2 which is 2 years later, Max and Super Gidget has overcome has overcome Sergei's Circus led by Sergei and Gaven Smedlen and Sergei is arrested.

ENDING: Mr. Burns gives up on the new and improved Springfield Park, but Homer gives a suggestion to put the amusement park on an abandoned place, and "New and improved Springfield Park" was renamed to Springpark" and a redeemed Mr. Burns agrees to build it on a new and different opened lot, therefore saving Springfield Park.

PLOT: Deep in the 100 Acre Woods, Rabbit has gathered Pooh, Piglet and Tigger together to explain the purpose of a holiday he created known as "Helpout Day", a day where a small group of the woods' residents’ band together to do selfless deeds around the woods. The ones volunteered are Pooh, Piglet and Tigger. However, the Backson had returned and kidnapped Roo. Pooh, Piglet and Tigger must save Roo and defeat the Backson before it’s too late.
ENDING: The Backson is defeated and fell in the pit, as Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Lumpy rescue Roo. The residents of the Hundred Acre Woods praise Pooh, Piglet and Tigger as heroes, mirroring the "Hip Hip Hooray!" scene from 1977's The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

An example of one of the missions is having to set up the show by finding wooden crates with things you need for the show. This mission's titled "The show must go on!"
ENDING: Constantine is defeated again and placed in jail, as the Muppets celebrated their success of the show.

The Boss Fight Spawner will add all the Boss Fights from 4.0 Playsets, as well as Boss Fights from 3.0 Edition. The Boss Fight Spawner also has three categories:
- Villains: Player-sized bosses that behave like beefed-up baddies
- Beasts: Animal bosses
- Monsters: Huge, lumbering beasts
The Boss Fights from all playsets, including the 4.0 Playsets, will interact to all playable characters.

- There are 80 figures (playable characters) in the game.
- Diego, Simba, Nala, Scar and Shere Khan are the only five four-legged playable characters in the game. But the four-legged characters cannot ride on mounts. Instead, they can only ride on vehicles.
- Xenomorph and Sisu are the only two four-legged playable characters in the game to ride on both mounts and vehicles.
- Like Disney Infinity 2.0 and Disney Infinity 3.0, the new toys can be bought in the Toy Store.
- Like Pooh’s Heffalump Movie and Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie, Owl and Gopher did not appear.
- For Scrat’s dialogue, audio clips from the Ice Age films and the Ice Age video games are used, similar to Mufasa in Kingdom Hearts II using archive audio from The Lion King.
- Diesel Springer is the second character to be completely silent. The first being Perry the Platypus.
- Kodi Smit-McPhee and Rebecca Romijn are the only two actors to reprise their roles from the X-Men film series in the game.
- Nightcrawler's design is based on his appearance from the 2019 film, X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
- Mystique's design is based on her appearance from the previous live-action X-Men films.
- Unlike the previous installments, all the playable characters (figures) can interact to each other and all cast members in the Toy Box Mode, mirroring the actions of Kingdom Hearts games.
