Deadly Combat Vs Killer Instinct is a crossover fighting game exclusive for the PC and Xbox One. The game is developed by Microsoft with the assistance of Netherealm Studios.
Gameplay[]
Basic moves
The game features 4 attack buttons (Light Kick, Light Punch, Heavy Kick, Heavy Punch), the "Double Combo" system for Killer Instinct is now available for the Deadly Combat characters too, by tapping twice the Light Kick or Light Punch button.
Special maneuvers
- Shadow Moves/Pro Moves. Special moves can be enhanced by tapping both buttons instead of one, which depletes a section of the Super gauge.
- X-Ray / Ultra Combos. Each character has an Ultra Combo, that ends in a special X-Ray animation sequence. The X-Ray move can also be performed on its own, when the power gauge is full.
- Combo Breakers. The player can perform a Combo Breaker in time to prevent being Ultra Combo'd, just like in the Killer Instinct series.
Finishers[]
The game featuresthe following finishers:
- Fatality/No Mercy. As the opponent's defeated, it will stay for a few seconds in a dizzied stage and the words "No Mercy" will appear; the player can perform a Fatality, then. Each character has a single Fatality. Some Fatalities have variations depending on the opponent, for example, a flesh rip against Spinal.
- Ultimate Brutality. When an X-Ray Ultra Combo finished with the life of the opponent, an "Ultimate Combo" (similar to the "Brutality" of Deadly Combat X) ensues, which kills the opponents with a flashy animation. Each character has a single Ultimate Brutality.
- Humiliation. Another option of finisher forces the opponent to dance.
- Stage Finishers. Some stages have stage finishers. To perform them, you must perform an Ultra Combo and input a secret code before it finishes.
