Dead or Alive 7 (Japanese: デッドオアアライブ7 Hepburn: Deddo oa Araibu 7) is a fighting video game developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X on May 6, 2024. It is the seventh main installment in the Dead or Alive series and is a reboot of the franchise.

According to Team Ninja, the game’s storyline is an altered re-telling of the events from the first three Dead or Alive games. (Dead or Alive, Dead or Alive 2, Dead or Alive 3).

Development
Prior to the release of the final update for Dead or Alive 6, there have been rumors about Team Ninja releasing an ”Ultimate” edition of the game with additional features. However, this was not the case; instead, the developers decided that they were going reboot the series. The game was officially announced at the 2021 E3 event.
Reception
Dead or Alive 7 recieved positive reviews according to the review aggregation website Metacritic. In Japan, Famitsu gave it a score of 30 out of 40.
