Darkstalkers VS. Guilty Gear: The Start of the Calamity

Darkstalkers VS. Guilty Gear: The Start of the Calamity is a 2.5D fighting tag battle crossover game made by Arc System Works that pits the series of Guilty Gear and Darkstalkers against one another.

Prologue

In a non-canonical continuation of Guilty Gear Xrd Revelation 2, after the incident of the Universal Will, That Man is planning for the creation of a powerful Gear which can defeat Sol Badguy once for all.

But, a mysterious portal has been opened and appeared a mysterious alien called Pyron. He wanted the help of That Man for the creation of that new Gear, so That Man accepted the offer and started to create the Gear.

Which themselves don't know is they have their own agendas. Which in a occation are planning to betray themselves.

Game Modes

The options that appear on the main menu of Darkstalkers VS. Guilty Gear: The Start of the Calamity are as follows:

• Story Mode: This where you play through the storyline of Darkstalkers VS. Guilty Gear: The Start of the Calamity. It split in chapters which have certain characters:
  • Prologue: That Man and Pyron
  • Chapter 1: Ky Kiske and Morrigan
  • Chapter 2: Faust and Victor
  • Chapter 3: Raven and Bishamon
  • Chapter 4: Zato-1 and Jon Talbain
  • Chapter 5: May and Donovan Baine
  • Chapter 6: Potemkin and Huitzil
  • Chapter 7: Jam Kuradoberi and Hsien-Ko
  • Chapter 8: Bridget and Felicia
  • Chapter 9: Johnny and Rikuo
  • Final Chapter: Sol Badguy and Demitri Maximoff
• Arcade Mode: Where you battle against 10 CPU opponents before facing the character's final boss.
• Versus Mode: Where you can freely battle the CPU or against a friend.
• Survival: Where you fight in 20 battle to see which can survive an amount of fighters.
• Time Attack: Similar to Arcade Battle, but this time you must complete the mode in the quickest time.
• Gallery: Where you can view the artwork, biographies, movies, voice samples and listen to the Darkstalkers VS. Guilty Gear: The Start of the Calamity soundtrack.
• Options: Where you can change the settings, as well as being able to load and save your progress.
