Darkstalkers 4: Vampire, known in japan as Vampire 4: Dark Stalkers, is the 4th entry in the Darkstalkers series.

This title not only serves as a comeback for the franchise, but also serves as a way to introduce new players to the characters and the lore with the content and its gameplay mechanics.

Gameplay[]

Most of the elements from Vampire Savior were carried over in this new chapter.

  • Anita: Now as an adult, Anita is on a quest to track down Dee and help him regain his mentality as Donovan.

  • Golem: A living statue possessed by an evil spirit, he moves very slow but hits like a truck.
  • Mizore Kagiyama: A Yuki-Onna who is the queen of the Dark Cold Forest, she is an old friend and rival of Morrigan and, like her, tends to travel to the human world and put on some attractive clothes.
  • Hollow: A headless dark knight who has a pumpkin for a head. He is the loyal servant of Hades.
  • Hades: The owner of the netherworld. He is the main antagonist of this sequel and wishes to expand darkness and chaos to the human world.

  • Marionette (Season Pass exlusive character)
  • Lilith Aensland: Her role in this game is to be a what-if scenario where instead of Morrigan absorbing her, it is her the one who absorbed Morrigan. The Darkness Illusion animation is swapped, with Morrigan being summoned instead of Lilith.
  • Mei-Ling: Similar to Lilith, Mei-Ling's appearance in general is swapped from Hsien-Ko, with her sister taking her role.
  • Bishamon: Now back to his human form, Bishamon wanders the world in search of the darkness that attempts to take over more victims the same way the cursed armor did to him in the past, with the purpose to rescue them from their same fate, or is he?.
