DC vs. Sega: Chaotic Justice will feature DLC expansions that will expand the game's setting. The first two expansion will be prequels to the main game, the following expansions will be based on franchises with guest characters.

Apocalypse on Apokolips[]
Expansion #1; this expansion is DC's prequel to the main game. It will focus on the apparent destruction of Apokolips.

- Amazing Grace: A master manipulator.
- Brola: A member of Darkseid's Elite who has a "Hand of Stone.".
- DeSaad: Darkseid's master torturer.
- Devilance: One of the most respected minions of Darkseid.
- Doctor Bedlam: A pure energy being with a never-ending series of artificial bodies.
- Glorious Godfrey: A master manipulator who is mostly adept at bending huge masses of people to his will. He is the older brother of Amazing Grace.
- Granny Goodness: The supervisor of the Female Furies and keeper of Apokolips's horrid orphanages.
- Kalibak: The son of Darkseid and Suli who serves as the second-in-command of Apokolips.
- Kanto: A master assassin.
- Lady Justeen: The second-in-command of DeSaad.
- Mantis: A bug-like warrior from the Bugs of Apokolips.
- Mortalla: A servant of Darkseid who can induce sleep with one hand and death with another. She was once a mortal but was heavily modified to serve Darkseid.
- Steppenwolf: Darkseid's uncle who is the general in his armies.
- Titan: A massive, green-skinned warrior and member of Darkseid's Elite.
- Virman Vundabar: An expert strategist and sycophant who is the father of Malice Vundabar.
The Genesis War[]
Expansion #2; this expansion is Sega's prequel to the main game. It will focus on Dr. Eggman's plan to conquer all the Sega game worlds by fusing them together.

- Crimson Dragon (Anarchy Reigns): A Killseeker from the Clan of the Crimson Dragon.

- Rudie (Jet Set Radio): A graffiti artist from Tokyo-to.
- Zombie (The House of the Dead): One of Dr. Curien's creations.
Wave 2[]
Untitled Mortal Kombat (2011) expansion[]
Expansion #3; this is the first of three expansions based on Mortal Kombat. It will be the direct sequel to Mortal Kombat (2011) (ignoring the events of Mortal Kombat X and onward) and will focus on the Justice League and Sega heroes aiding the Earthrealm warriors in fixing Earthrealm after Shao Kahn's invasion. Scorpion will be a playable character.

Trial by Kombat[]
Expansion #5; this is the second of three expansions based on Mortal Kombat. It will be the sequel to Mortal Kombat X(ignoring the events of Mortal Kombat 11 and onward) and will focus on Sonic being brainwashed by D'Vorah to aid the Netherrealm army against Earthrealm. Scorpion and Sub-Zero will be playable characters.

Expansions #11, #13, #15, & #17; this four-part expansion will be based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Each turtle will be playable in each part: Leonardo for Part 1, Michelangelo for Part 2, Donatello for Part 3, Raphael for Part 4.
