Nintendo is a Japanese game making company that created the Mario, Pokemon, Metroid, Legend of Zelda and many other series.

NES[]

Called the Famicom in Japan, the Nintendo Entertainment System was the first major console by Nintendo.

SNES[]

The Super NES, it was the NES's successor.

N64[]

The Nintendo 64 is well known and loved for creating many of the Nintendo series we play today. 3d platforming began with this system.

Gamecube[]

The Gamecube was the console that came after the N64 with improved graphics, computing power and many other series.

Wii[]

Motion Sensing capabilities for an affordable cost and continued series were the improvements of this system.

Wii U[]

Merging handheld gaming with consoles gives this system much promise. However, this may go the way of the Wii, underdeveloped and underappreciated.

Nintendo Switch[]

The spiritual successor of Wii and DS consoles, it has two controls similar to Wiimotes on which we can control the characters from some games by moving ourselves.

This is the first Nintendo console on be created to be from both home and portable versions.

Notable Handhelds[]

Game Boy[]

Including Game Boy, Game Boy color, Game Boy Advance, and Game Boy Advance SP, this handheld was the first series of consoles portable and useful enough to bring everywhere.
