Aya Nishio (西尾 彩 Nishio Aya) is one of the original characters introduced in Chou Super Robot Wars AE. She is the pilot of the Banpresto Original mecha Ferrum Opus.

Personality[]
Aya is a passive-aggressive cynic with a very complex and confusing personality. She sometimes gets carried away things and becomes arrogant and impatient which often leads to her being fired from her previous part-time jobs. She can be serious at times and even take offense at people who make jokes she finds unfunny. Whenever she would make a mistake of her volition though, she would come immediately regret it and come up of ways to fix her own problems.
She is also very smart, shown in one scene where she is the only one out of a group of ten to solve a complicated mathematical equation let alone do it, within ten seconds.
When it comes being around her love interest, either Isaac Flynn or the Avatar depending on player choice, however, she is often either extremely aggressive, calling him with a derogatory nickname "Minokyuu" and taking advantage of his skills to her own means, or very sensitive and overemotional.

- Aya is one of the several available love interests that the player's Avatar can choose to end up together in the end.
- The name of Aya's mecha Ferrum Opus is the Latin term for "iron work" and a play on the words "magnum opus" which mean "great work".
- Aya is based on the same character from Oshaburi Announcer visual novel and anime.
