The Kaijin Gundan is one of the factions in Artistic Forces.

Name

The name of this faction is made of two possible Japanese terms: Kaijin (怪人), which means the "mysterious being", "mysterious person", or "monster" as closely differs from Bakemono (化け物) and relates to kaiju, another Japanese word that usually translates to as "giant monster" and is often used by translators to refer to powerful giant creatures like Godzilla, and Gundan (軍団) literally defined as "army" or "corps", which is confusingly differentiated to another Japanese word called Heidan (兵団), or in this case "legion".

• The Kaijin Gundan is one of the few factions in Artistic Forces that keep their original Japanese names untranslated, the other ones are Josei Guntai, Kemonomimi, and Yami Musume, with the next two being Kyoudai Gundan and Zaibatsu Teikoku.
• Like Frieza from the Dragon Ball series, the Kaijin Gundan is heavily and specifically influenced by kaiju and the race of mysterious beings known as Kaijin, and based on the real estate speculators during the era of the occurring Japanese economic bubble as Akira Toriyama, the legendary mangaka and creator of Dragon Ball, has called them as "the worst sort of people".
