~ Infantrywoman |
The Infantrywoman is the Josei Guntai's basic infantry unit. She is planned to be voiced by Erica Mendez. However, her voice must be the same as Megumin's as well as Niko Yazawa's.

The Infantrywoman is a land combat soldier and a backbone of the Josei Rikugun, the ground force and branch of the Josei Guntai. More than that, the Infantrywomen are mostly recruited as the teenage schoolgirls, former Japanese idols, otakus, former Visual Kei performers and even cosplayers, fluently trained for task force operations and combat similar to those of the JGSDF, and armed with the designated and license-built AKB-64 battle rifles, based on the Japanese Howa Type 64 battle rifles, as their service rifles and Mk 2/M26 hand grenades to defend themselves from enemy attacks even though they are tomboyish to do so. In addition to their military service rifles, they also equip the improved, advanced and license-built AKB-89 assault rifles, designated and modeled after the Japanese Howa Type 89 assault rifles as they have better performance due to their incredibly enhanced muzzle velocity, cyclic firing rate, and effective firing range. These assault rifles eventually replace the AKB-64 battle rifles just like the JGSDF did. Every time the Infantrywomen wake up in the morning, they eat their toasted breads before training or other strategies, given by their commander.
Overview[]
Appearance[]
The Infantrywoman seems to be a Kawaii anime girl in her military combat uniform. Her hairstyle depends on variants of bob cut, shorthair, pigtail, bunches, asymmetric cut, lob, ponytail, longhair or Hime cut, and her hair color depends on what she appears in, most commonly black, brown and dark brown. As a basic soldier, her clothing is a customized JGSDF uniform in a Japanese Type 1 "Kunai" camouflage pattern that has Type 66 helmet with or without combat goggles, camouflaged Type 65 jacket with or without elbow pads, combat bulletproof vest, printed with the Josei Guntai flag and the text "Josei Rikugun" (じょせいりくぐん), camo gloves, camo pants with or without combat kneepads, and Type 1 combat boots.
Idle animations[]
- An Infantrywoman will reload her rifle (even if the rifle has not been fired yet).
- An Infantrywoman looks around the surroundings from left to right.
- An Infantrywoman inspects her rifle.
- An Infantrywoman checks through the sights of her rifle.
- An Infantrywoman horizontally views from left to right once.
Strategy[]
The Infantrywomen are one of the most powerful basic infantry units of respective factions other than the ADA Infantryman and the GIA Light Infantryman. They are effective enough against most types of infantry. And once the Tatakai no Shimai Protocol is purchased at the Research Center, they will be protected from enemy attacks, and fight even more effectively, especially when they garrisoned inside buildings for blocking off groups of lighter vehicles like the technical pickup trucks and buggies. In addition, they may be upgraded with these Rifle Grenades, which give them a bonus bit of burst damage when fighting clustered infantry units, light vehicles, and landed helicopters or VTOL craft similarly to the American Infantrymen. With their underslung bayonets, they have the ferocious ability to use Onna Charge that quickly strikes the enemy infantry and buildings down. Infantrywomen remain ineffective against most anti-infantry units, thus some of these can easily take them out.
Like the other factions with Horde Bonus feature in the game, the Infantrywomen are easily amassed and will usefully work in groups together against other types of infantry, especially when upgraded. The Horde Inspiration upgrade improves the effect of the horde bonus, and allows the Infantrywomen to do a lot of damage through a quicker firing rate.
Being easily placed into groups allows the Infantrywomen to become an efficient battling force, especially considering the Horde Bonus. They work well as early game defenses, easily gunning down enemy infantry when in hordes and within radius of promotional morale broadcast. When deployed with other Josei Guntai infantry, such as Tai-Sensha Troopers, Shihyou Warsuits, and Heroines, they are able to grant Horde Bonus without having to purchase at least 5 of them. Not only that, but they are able to take down structures easily with heavier infantry, sometimes even being capable of destroying buildings alone in large numbers. Even if they are being challenged by a large amount of infantry in close range, it might be a good idea to attach their rifles with bayonets, and arm themselves in melee combat using the Onna Charge.
Most importantly, like all basic infantry, Infantrywomen are weak against anti-infantry defenses, vehicles, or aircraft. So do not attack a well defended position with Infantrywomen alone. Support them with tanks and anti-tank infantry. Besides, it is better to scout ahead to see what your opponent has outside of your visual range, but they are completely helpless against aircraft so Taikuu Infantrywomen or any anti-air vehicles would come along with them.
Abilities[]
Ability | Cooldown | Description |
---|---|---|
Capture Building | 00:30 | Allows Infantrywomen to capture neutral and enemy structures. The process takes 23 seconds to complete, during which the Infantrywoman is vulnerable. |

Fire Rifle Grenade | 00:05 | Attach the standard assault rifle with a rifle grenade and discharge them against enemy vehicles and a group of enemy infantry units. |
Crawl | N/A | Selected unit will change to crawl stance. A crawling soldier is much harder to detect for enemy units, but reduces speed. Ability can only be used if the infantry is in standing stance. |
Stand Up | N/A | Selected unit will change to standing stance. A standing soldier has increased speed, but can be easily detected and picked off by enemy units. Ability can only be used if the infantry is in crawling stance. |
Ambush | N/A | Selected unit(s) will hide behind cover, such as trees or civilian vehicles, to do more damage. |
Onna Charge | 00:12 | Attach the battle rifle with an underslung bayonet and activate the charging attack for a short amount of time to quickly strike down enemy infantry. This ability will also increase the unit's speed for a short period of time and grant them immunity to stunning. |

Trivia[]
- A closeup portrait of the Infantrywoman, who is cutely smiling as if she's a kawaii anime girl, is shown with pink background at the back in each side of the factional flag of the Josei Guntai at the top, and the background with falling cherry blossoms, an army of Infantrywomen, JK Soldiers, Kyu Jeeps, Rokuichi Tanks, and Nanago MRLs, and a squadron of Viper Zero Sisters, Washi Sisters, and Inazuma Sisters, shown at the bottom. Both of these art designs are combined into one for the Josei Guntai variant box art of Artistic Forces.
