.hack//RE is original brand-new quadrology series to the franchise, the rebooted series to the first original .hack series and indirect-sequel to the .hack//Link -The Final Twilight- which consisted four main titles, anime prequels, spin-offs and much more, also a new anime series spin-off, CODE 81311 which is a ties-in stories to this game, while RE would take a whole new level of the gaming experience through complexity stories, characters, wider-gameplay, open-world, and much more that brings new combination between epic game, anime and cinema while reimagining the feels of .hack in very different ways of nostalgic.

The four main titles of .hack//RE would be available on PlayStation 6, Xbox Series Z, Nintendo Switch 2, Microsoft Windows (Steam), and Microsoft Windows (Epic Game Store).

.hack//RE is a completely new stories, new directions, new experience, new world, and new breeds evolutions to the franchise through game and cinema experience, while also completely reboot series, but different from the first original .hack series as it would not just captured the feelings in the same way, but different ways through tones, direction, lores, and the settings which took completely themes elements of Isekai and utillize into completely new mind-blowing direction that could change whole concept and continuously defying a natural laws of methods toward direction in a new world, while refering the previous series lores that connected and created a new lores and plots that came as a result to explore even deeper.

While it revolutionize the cinema, anime, and game experiences, it also brings an unique evolution and new innovation of the combination between MMO and Action-RPG as it still retains an action-fast paced RPG, but also makes it tactical as well. But as the Isekai World is embodied uses of MMORPG system and defying natural laws to make the real world like a video game or online game that could possibly defying physics laws and nature in beforehand, as result the setting, world, characters, and gameplays is embodied and cooperated altogether into something new and interesting quality of time and lifestyle. Also creating massive genres of gameplay in different ways for actions like Spy, Stealth, War, and more, while open-world is also brings us to more open-world adventure and new treasures to discovers in a real-time that brings the qualities toward NPC, AI, and characters more alive, while this game can provides a weirdness in a good ways to completely defy the generic narratives in twisted way.

As it captures a many different genres, including science fiction, fantasy, cyberpunk, fiction, and realism which given a freedom for players to make an exploration through how stories incorporated each other through so many genres that has to be put,it's a game changer that could be told whether could be main story or side-quest that gives world-building, open-world elements, sense culture, silly jokes, and importance situation that inspired from the real life's problem and even on Isekai's problem, it took more open for this game to explore many things that could actually gives all things more alive while making a different reimagined feels from the previous .hack to make it feels nostalgia but can see a whole different things what they saw in previous one which this series could be a completely different game changer.

Story[]

As the direction in RE would be completely different and so the stories which would introduced a whole new crisis, incident, involvement, themes, tones and directive turns that could brought players to experience a different feelings, different experience, and different sense from what they had played from the previous .hack series. In completely different feelings and experience could lead a different turns and outcomes that what previous series did, especially when it comes reimagined feels of the original series, however, it doesn't mean that this story would be reboot to the first .hack story, but rather completely new story and sequel to the .hack//Link -The Final Twilight- which now RE has expandedly into a whole new series with different multimedia works titles that could ties lores, characters, settings, world, and more into the main titles, while the story continuously on standalone with different protagonist.

The main protagonist, Neun is a new characters to the .hack//RE which all deeply begin is how there's a mystery surrounding his aura and his mystery of the past that begins deepenly hidden as the story progresses, but in a summarize, Neun is a treasure hunters who got caught up in the middle crisis and situation that he couldn't even dare to which was caused by his meeting fate with the boy who he found stranded after his first adventure, as how he begin to involved in the fight against old friends, and major organization that spread even deeper in the shadow that wants to hunt him down which begin the start of his adventure. However, his backstory and origins is very unknown and it's purposely to left fans for freedom to think about his origin, however, the connection between him and his "true" old past is currently unknown, but interestingly how many plot twist could revealed that would be lead to his backstory and his secret intention.

RE story itself is complex and gray in turns but warmth, instead cold like how .hack//Link -ChaosWort- depicted to it when the series brings joy and fun, while inside seems very in the dark and complicated situation that could lead a major unexpected outcomes to happen and so many different things that could change the direction of narratives and plot. While it inspires from original .hack series about the mystery, and inspired from Matrix regarding about self-questioning and self-exploration about psychological, philosophical, religion, ideals and more that deeply become a question that match to what social realism problems today, while also what becomes something that turns more realistic approached than anime and game does that defines who he was, be their game selfs or real selfs which is much how they change their persona to their own liking, same as how Neun did. In the outside he was act like a funny, sarcastic, arrogant, cocky, fun, and lazy, but in the inside, he was much very different from what they saw, as how he very aware about his reason and how important serious he was which his persona of the inside is very different from his outside persona, which describing about how it differs his selfs between online self and real self.

RE storyline would be quadrologies which features all-four main titles that transpired Neun's journey through adversaries, but his true themes of his journey is unknown unless they understand what anime series .hack//Genesis Code means for this main series title. At first that RE is a indirect-sequel to the game, but during near end of the second game of .hack//RE would make it clear how the story has change narratives completely which caused by plot twist that could open RE Series which revealed as a direct-sequel to the .hack//Link -The Final Twilight-. The anime prequels, .hack//Genesis Codes which explains 70 years prior to the main title of the game which openly continuation to Akira Kuryuu's story which he was mistakenly as Tokio Kuryuu at the first half, but this also brings the question how this story could shed a light the truth about Neun's origin.

The tone of the stories can be light, but also can be darker at the same time, however, most of it can be grey as it continuously proceed and one time ahead the character direction twist could brings the story narratives changes.

As Neun is a main protagonist to the series main title, there's also one main protagonist name Kite which clearly has a same name as the main protagonist from the first original .hack, however, his incarnation in this series is different from other previous incarnation of him as he is can be little mature and straightforward, but has the other side that can be more fun and fresh from the previous one, but his outer of characters is dark than any of it was. While, Neun is a very complex character, as his motives, actions and feelings are unpredictable, but can also become version of Gintama or Dante in supposed manner and common, however, as he gone to his inner personality is much serious, symphatetic, caring, careful and ruthless (if he needed), however he's also kind to other, but his outer is what's his character can do something amazing beyond boundaries of other protagonist which gives feelings that there's gonna be more 4th Wall Breaking than before, also something silly would shown.

The main protagonist in .hack//RE: and sometimes can be hero or anti-hero which his motives or intention are totally unknown, but he's the most popular Treasure Hunter around the world whom which he searching the artifact, treasures and discovery a new places that becomes his hobby. However, the day had change as he met with the boy name Kite who's survived from his beginner quest from so the monsters known as a Cursed Wave which leads him to being involved in the mess that happens to the world, however, as the story progress, the strings has gone deeper to it's roots and begin to puzzle about mystery that he and Kite been encountered which somehow connected to organization he knew or other third party that caused the crisis to the world.

But no one, even Kite could know about his origin and true name of his, because all of his secret is very deeply buried that no one ever knows about his true identity, except the speculation about his involvement in Genesis Code Rampages Incident.

As he using the many different weapons and techniques, but usually he always using a one-handed swords or even dual blades which can uses whenever he likes it to places the attack against the enemy, but he also can use a different weapons with different types which how he can peformed the techniques more differently than how it supposed to be, and he can be fast or tactical at the same time, can use magic or styles in different arts unique skills that would took.

As a new series, .hack//RE would be indirectly sequel to the .hack//Link -The Final Twilight- however, according to directors they want to do something weird, but also beautifully connected to what would brings direction narratives change as it progress. Although, director recommend old players and fans to play this game which seems how it slowly, but beginning to ties directly from the prequel title series and also how it had finally lead up to that moment.
- RE main key focus theme to the storyline is the Choice that brings how they can made their own choices to write their own stories as a player, instead let everyone made a choice for them, as it also represents the freedom of their own direction and narratives they take and this represent to Neun's character of how he made decision for himself and the goal that he want to take, but all that matters is how they use they choose for good or bad which can leads to outcomes and consenqueces.
The World of RE would be using the advance technologies based on MMORPG, combines with realism and real-times, despite they've been lived in Medieval era or Cyberpunk eras which they always using the technology system that can be used for their social activities which can be diverse and fresh to use everyday without bounds in limitation and freedom to use, but still comes with consenquences of it's uses for way beyond boundaries of natural laws.
- The technology that were used in RE is even more than just advance technology that could even inspired by Matrix World or something else entirely, however, it's tech of Virtual Reality is more beyond capable to make it more in real-time through sensibility, taste, feels, and more, while also the reason how Real Digitalization was being created not becaused it was totally real, but due to hyper-advance technology that caused their minds conciousness began incorporated with the PCs body in real time just like how Matrix did, so it felt something totally real.
As this game storyline is basically based inspiration from the Matrix through lens of Cinema, Chereography and Story themes, while Neun's characters is part of inspiration from Dante in Devil May Cry series, as his characters represents the Persona Splitting between his outside selfs and inside selfs, same goes how they using their persona from real world selfs and online game selfs.
